Objective
My objective is to obtain employment at a company where I can exercise the
leadership, communication, and organizational skills that I possess. I want to
work at a company where there is room for advancement and career learning
opportunities. My lifetime goal is to become a successful entrepreneur.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Meter Reader
To become a meter reader I first had to endure a week in training on
the fundamentals on being a meter which included animal safety, vehicle safety,
poison control, operating our Itrons, walking safely, and the most emphasized the
accurate way to read a gas meter. Working as meter reader there were two things
that are of high concern: accuracy and safety. My duties were to start my day off
knowing where the instructed route was located and by company vehicle safely
drive there. Once I had reached the designated destination I was to follow the
addresses of the customer homes, locate the gas meter, check for gas leaks,
accurately and safely read the meter, and continue until the route is complete.
Quality customer service also factored into my duties, for the reason that many
gas meters were located inside the homes. To ensure that quality customer service
was exercised ,throughout the company, we were all trained and graded on ethics
which allowed to make smart decisions and made tasks very easy. At the end of the
day I was returned to the office to upload my work and enter the time it took to
complete my work.

Sales Associate
While working for JC Penny I was also employed in another high sale,
fast paced environment where my occupation was a shoe salesman. I endured a week
long training period which required me to study the stores policy on being a
successful sales man. During that period another duty was to organize stock and
receive shipments of shoes as they were delivered. Customer service was extremely
emphasized and highly recognized. Sales goals were also set individually and
storewide and due to good customer service the goals were not difficult to reach.
