OBJECTIVE

Seeking a leadership opportunity of product management and global marketing in
pharmaceutical /biotechnology industries where my organization skills and
experience in R&D, business analysis, and product development and management will
be of value.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
More than 14 years academic research experience in cell uptake of
drugs/chemicals, 6 years R&D experience in the design, expression and large-scale
production of recombinant proteins/vaccines and 5 years experience in new product
development, global product sale and marketing, product registration and
distribution management in large public and biotechnology companies.

R&D Bioanalysis: Extensive hands-on experience in HPLC, GS, LC-MS/MS for
chemical and protein identification. 3 years experience in a microbial
genomic/proteomic project to map the pathways of high-value secondary
metabolites.

R&D Protein Sciences: Extensive hands-on experience in recombinant protein
expression and purification. Provided grams of highly purified proteins for
clinical trials, regulatory studies and external collaborators. Used MOLDI-TOF,
LC/MS, microcalorimetry (DCS and ITC), fluorescent surface-labeling to study
vaccine structure and stability. Served as coordinator for external collaboration
of X-ray crystallography on several target proteins.

Marketing/Product Management: Conducted market competitive assessment.
Established annual market strategy and product roadmaps. Implemented must-win
marketing campaign objective to achieve sale goals. Increased 14% sale of
glutaraldehyde-based disinfectants in 2008, and 27% sale of research
detergents/lipids in 2009, respectively.

New Product Development: Identified a market opportunity for the needs of green
industrial cleaners. Worked with sale teams and R&D staffs to introduce a series
of biodegradable, high performance industrial cleaners for biosecuirty
applications. Q4 2008 sales $60K. Introduced 12 new detergents and lipids which
are unique to the research market in 2009. Responsible for 3 external IPs
evaluation and involved in a European licensing negotiation for a new polymeric
surfactant.

Project Management: Trained and certified in project management. 6 years
experience in staff supervision. Particular projects were included;
-Bionanotechnology: Initiated Dow's bionanotechnology project. Used
nanotechnology to enhance DNA and vaccine delivery. Filled 3 preliminary
invention disclosures. Nano-delivery is one of keys strength of the company
-Rapid Microbial Detection: Project leader of Dow's biosensor development.
Worked closely external academic experts to leverage company capability and to
define the value proposition of biosensors in industrial hygiene, medical
diagnostics, food safety and water treatment.

Six Sigma: Certified Six Sigma green-belt. Optimized the process development of
large-scale protein production.

Language: Speaks fluent English, French, Chinese (Mandarin) and Cantonese (the
main dialect in Guangzhou city and Hong-Kong).

Publication and Patent: Published more than 20 articles in international
journals and 3 granted WO/US patents and 7 filled patent applications.

-Conducted numerous business analysis, e.g. competitive landscapes, pricing
analysis, distribution channel assessment and ROI for new product developments.
-Established annual production and sales objective of glutaraldehyde-based
disinfectants.
-Ensured the product labels that complied FDA/EPA requirements through
contracted GLP testing.
-Proactively interacted with customers to understand their needs and concerns.
-Improved product acceptance by adding personalized fragrances and by an
innovative 2-in-1 packaging.
-Assessed global market potential and successfully registered products in China,
Thailand, and Singapore.

DOW PHARMA/BIOTECHNOLOGY, The Dow Chemical Company January 1999 - November 2006
Nanotechnology and nanobiosensor (Sr. Scientist, Project leader)
-Served as the member of Dow nanotechnology steering committee.
-Using surface activation and conjugation approach to immobilize antibody
against target recombinant protein to speed up GMO detection.
-Developed a prototype of 96-well plate with coating of LPS nanosensor for rapid
LPS detection in purified recombinant protein.
-Initiated/implemented concept of polymer-based nanocarrier for DNA and animal
vaccine delivery.
-Discovered novel function of bacterial protein as receptor-mediated endocytosis
signaling peptide.
