CBS Senior Global Project Manager 2005   “ 2009
As a senior global project manager I managed programs consisting of multiple
related projects. The projects averaged up to twenty full time employees in as
many as 5 different countries simultaneously. 
    Successfully managed program consisting of multiple software projects
relating to Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) across multiple Business Units
with locations in the US, India, United Kingdom, and China.
    Successfully completed a Mexico Customs Reconstruction Project which
included closing several identified gaps uncovered during a company audit. The
project consisted of the installation of a new software package relating to the
reconstruction of missing information that was critical should the Mexico
government audit any of our BU  's in Mexico. The project resulted in lowering
the potential risk factor by over 40 million dollars. This project was also a 6
Sigma Green Belt project and finished in the top 4 for the Cummins CBS Chairman 
's award.
    Successfully managed a project to outsource all of Cummins email and
Sametime users (over 30,000 users world wide) to the IBM network (a global
effort).
    Successfully managed a project to install Host and Network intrusion devices
worldwide.
    Successfully completed several software and IT infrastructure projects
including but not limited to:
 ‚  Lotus Domino 6 software application upgrade which included 300 plus servers
worldwide.
 ‚  Lotus Sametime software application upgrade which included adding multiple
servers in each region worldwide and increasing the potential capacity from 7,000
to almost 30,000 users.

Program/Project Manager, Sarbanes-Oxley 404 Initiative (SOX) 2004   “ 2005
Successfully ran several SOX related projects including:
    Security Baseline - Operating Systems included Windows, Windows NT, UNIX
(both Solaris and Tru64), AS400, Mainframe, VMS, and VOS. Worked with the
appropriate support staff to develop automated scripts where possible (Windows
and UNIX) that verify the security baseline is in place and that no changes have
been implemented.
    Platform Authentication - The major areas which were identified as having a
need to strengthen our system controls are password complexity and how often they
need to be changed. How long old passwords are remembered falls under this
category as well. Remote access and the need to have a periodic review by QA to
verify compliance was also addressed in this project.
    Production Control - This project included Process for error resolution;
Documentation for each job including criticality; Maintain history of errors and
resolutions through Change Management; Separation of DBA duties; Assured that all
issues related to QA were in compliance. 
    Data Backup/Off site storage - We put a process in place that would assure
that the restoration of data using data backups would be tested randomly or
Daily, Weekly, Monthly at least every quarter and after every modification to the
data backup procedure. A log of this activity was created for staff and auditors
reference as proof of compliance.
    Quarterly Review - The Focus was on special, elevated, or administrative
access rights to all systems including physical access to all data centers.
    Process Control - This project served to centralize all related information
so that going forward the controls that were installed would assure continued
compliance.

Self Employed Entrepreneur, Nashville, IN
Jeepers Miniatures, New Business Startup 2003   “ Present
Purchased a dollhouse and miniature business in the Artist Colony town of
Nashville, Indiana. This included writing the business plan, acquiring financing,
hiring and training staff, updating and installing new software as well as
developing an Internet presence. Spouse is currently operating this business.

AT&T, Chicago, IL 
Team Leader, Supervisor/ Project Manager, Bank One Account Support 1999   “
2003
As Team Leader for Chicago Bank One Support responsibilities included training
and coordinating staff on the planning, implementing, budgeting, and financial
reporting of projects from inception to completion. Staff fluctuated between 6 to
10 FTE directly reporting to me. Also managed several complex high profile
projects:
 ‚  Successfully managed the build-out of six floors in the One North Dearborn
building for Bank One in downtown Chicago which included the coordination of
electrical and general contractors as well as the AT&T engineering staff.
 ‚  Coordinated the move of over a 1000 people to a new central location over
several weeks through a phased approach. Coordinated vendors such as general
contractors, movers, electricians, voice, and data engineers.
 ‚  Effectively managed the relocation of four medium-sized data centers for
Bank One. This move required the set up of duplicate environments which allowed
the testing of multiple applications in the new environment before cutover.
Coordinated the movement of all critical hardware during off hours.

BANK ONE, Chicago, IL
Project Manager/Process Support 1985   “ 1999
Project Manager and Process Support team leader for several financial software
applications, covering a broad-spectrum of technical projects involving diverse
hardware platforms and financial banking applications. Staff was usually 2 FTE
directly reporting to me but varied depending on application and level of
responsibility. 
 ‚  Successfully managed the installation of the Banks new LockBox Software
Application which allowed billions of dollars to move safely across the United
States. Responsibilities included application development and testing as well as
network configuration and implementation. Also set up and maintained support
group for the application. Ongoing budget responsibility for this application was
also part of my responsibility.
 ‚  Headed up the task force charged with finding more efficient application for
handling incoming file transfers from customers outside the bank. Resulted in a
complete change over from a Tandem based file transfer system to an IBM host
based file transfer system with much greater versatility.
