 Objective 
	I wish to find a career in the field of computer technology with an
emphasis on tech support, repair and networking but would be very open to
learning new aspects of the field. I would also love to consider a career in the
field of web development with a focus on graphic design or interface design; I
currently build Joomla sites for clients on the side and have found it to be
challenging but very rewarding as well. I wish to be a part of a company that is
very professional but relaxed enough to enjoy what they do, that would be a
perfect candidate for me. I simply wish to find a career field that I can use my
talents to help others. I have been using Photoshop for the last several years
and have found it to be a priceless tool in the production of sites and any other
media that I need to produce. 


Education 
	1989, Graduate of Topeka High School in Topeka KS, man was that an
experience I will never forget. I excelled in stage craft, woods class, art
class, and lunch. 
	1989, Graduate of Kaw Area Vo-Tech, with a degree in Technical
Drafting. I studied under Bill Wheeler, by far the greatest mentor in my life,
just below my Dad. I ended up working for my instructor doing architectural
elevation renderings as well as floor plan assistance. 
	2003, Graduate of Kaw Area Vo-Tech, with a certificate in Auto CAD. I
took this class to help me improve in my role as a manager over the drafters at
Custom Wood Products, how can you manage what you don't understand? 


Awards 
	Excellence in service award from Custom Wood Products Inc. I assisted
in the design and production of our 2001 design catalog I was the sole drafter
that built all of the pictures and cover art. 
	Does rolling 3 perfect games (300) in bowling count? I have been
bowling since I think I could walk so naturally being a good bowler is a side
effect. 
	I graduated at the top of my class at Kaw Area vo-tech in Technical
drafting; I actually worked for my instructor for a month or two after
graduation. 

Work Experience 
	This is a little tough as well. Over the last 5 years I have had my
hand in a multitude of things but I will try to keep it short and simple for you.
I am currently employed with Custom Wood Products Inc. in St. Marys KS and have
been with them for almost 20 years now. My duties started off as a drafter and
grew in to various positions over the years. I left drafting to accept an office
management position, then found myself stepping down after a few years to accept
a position in the dealer sector as a project manager. I always loved a challenge
or learning something new. 
	I own whojah, LLC we are a small website development company focused on
helping low budget companies, organizations and individuals in need of a web
presence without all of the big company cost and offer them the tools necessary
to run their own website. Once again I utilize Joomla as the base CMS (Content
Management System) for the majority of my sites that I build. You will find
screen shots in my Gallery of a few of my more recent projects. All of the
hosting for these sites are done through Redbirdhost.com. Jeremy Hamilton the CEO
of Redbirdhost is a very close friend and I assist him in the construction of the
sites that they produce as well. Redbirdhost is one of the up and coming leaders
in hosting with state of the art file transfer and backup systems in the
industry. 


Volunteer Work 
	I volunteer through the church I attend in Topeka. We have put many
hours in each year helping to beautify the local schools. Fellowship Bible Church
and several other churches around the city will go to the schools and get them
ready for the first day by doing landscape work, painting, trimming of the trees,
and various other needs as they arise. Doing this is a wonderful way of giving
back to the teachers, school and most of all, the children. Each year the group
continues to grow and the number of schools we can help grows as well. 


Patents and Publications 
	I have done a few pieces of art work that were published in a magazine
called Florist Review®. I was trying to earn a little extra cash to get through
school and a good friend of mine worked for them in sales. It was an amazing
experience and very exciting to see my work finally published. 


Interests and Activities 
	I love to play golf when I can get away, even during my worst rounds I
have had my best times. 
	The same goes with fishing, even if the fish aren't biting it is still
a great way to forget about the day to day stress. 
	I also love to spend time with my family. 

Hobbies 
	Woodworking by far. I have the equivalent of a master’s degree in
woodworking. After 20 plus years with Custom Wood Products and having my own
shop, how can you not learn that trade down to a science. I love to design and
build pieces for friends and family, it is a way of me giving them a piece of
myself that will never leave. When I build a piece of furniture, I try to think
of every ornate detail that sets it apart and gives it life. Woodworking is a
passion for me. 

Computer Skills 
	I have advanced computer skills in multiple aspects of the field. Since
my third year with CWP I have helped them build their network from the ground up
with assistance from Mizehouser Company out of Topeka. 
	I am versed in multiple Linux distro’s as well as Microsoft® 98 through
Windows 7® and Windows Server 2003. 
	Over the last 19 years I have spent a third of my career assisting with
any and all network, PC and server issues that arose. 
	I am also certified in Auto CAD. 
	Experience in Photoshop CS2 and CS3. 
	I have a very strong level of knowledge in Joomla® CMS from 1.x through
1.5. I also have dealt on a short term basis with Drupal® CMS. I love to learn
about and play with open source software; it is very exciting to see who is doing
what in the open source world. The real fact is I'm a nerd, go figure. 
	I also have strong knowledge in computer repair, from both a software
and hardware aspect. In my free time I repair PC’s for people I know I also
refurbish old computers and then donate the systems to those that don't have a
computer; I try to focus on families with children in school so that the kids can
have the tools necessary to be successful in school. 

Memo to the Employer 
	I at one time sat where you are now and read through these resumes, to
say the least at times it was a little mind numbing but when you found that one
that truly fit I always had a spark of interest come over me. I felt this would
be a nice way to close a resume; I am a father of three children and a very
happily married man now for many years, you will have to ask my wife how many
though. As a dad I always want the best for my children so that they can grow and
be successful in life and make their dreams come true. I look at a company that
way, you want the best for your company as well so that it can grow, we are
nothing without excellent people and a company will only be as successful as its
