Laurus
Laurus is a web based application for the Actuaries and Agents to issue
new Policies, process the claims and Billing. Laurus has two different modules
Policy and Billing. Policy has different lines of business like PIC, TAA ,Six
Month Auto. Billing is same for all the lines of business. This project is
developed using IAF (Insurance Application Framework) web frame work, websphere.
The IAF Web Framework is a customized framework which is built on top of Jakarta
Struts framework.
Responsibilities Include:
Extensive involvement in the design sessions and meetings.
Designed and developed the Presentation layer using JSP, JSTL, IAF, JavaScript

used by the employers to analyze the type of health care services their
Humana-insured employees use, and with what frequency. Verisight also provides

based on their employees past claims and group risk-factors. The employers use
Verisight to make Potential cost reductions by increasing enrollment of at-risk
employees in Humanas clinical and disease management programs.

Websphere, Struts Frame Work. My responsibilities include in development of Batch

This project is used to fix appointments in hospitals and to sell medical
products online. This project consists of three modules. They are:
Administrator module:
This module is basically for Administrators in the hospitals. It allows
the administrators to create, view, modify or delete appointments.
Appointments module:
This module provides the facility for patients to request appointments
from doctors online. The doctors can view the appointment requests and then
confirm with the patient of his choice. Doctors can also view, setup and modify
their working schedule, vacation & holidays
Sales module:
This module is for the sale of medical products. The customer can place
their orders in three ways. They are Basket Order System, Quick Order System,
Persistent Order System. Customer is provided with views for knowing the Order
status at different stages.

for Small Business in Canada and calculating the risk involved in issuing of
credits on various factors. This project has four modules like Client Profile,
Obligor Assessment, Credit Processing, and Adjudication. This is a web based
application developed in Java/J2EE using MVC Architecture and very convenient to
the Credit writers as well as Adjudicators.
