SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS
Leadership & Management: Responsible for the training, well-being, discipline,
morale and readiness of 60-120 personnel who installed, operated and maintained
computer, network and satellite systems. Assisted in developing and implementing
short-range and long-range training plans. Provided logistical, maintenance and
administrative management. Motivated and inspired staff to excel in their duties
and tasks. Assisted in the development of operating procedures, which considered
facilities, specialized equipment, workflow, manpower and existing systems versus
mission assignments. Have the ability to perform under challenging conditions and
understand that the mission affects the entire organization.
Training: Implemented on the job training that decreased operation deficiencies
to under 3% in three months.. Continuously sought ways to improve the
effectiveness of the training and operational knowledge of personnel. Established
SOP’s as needed to ensure standard practices. Ensured personnel adhered to all
safety rules, regulations and local policies. Researched and analyzed information
to identify problems and determine the remedial course of action.
Logistics: Supervised the acquisition of communications equipment and spare
parts for a communications company. Maintained and accounted for military
vehicles and communications equipment worth multi-millions. Experienced in
warehouse operations. Coordinated and managed the receipt, issue, shipping,
storage, inventory and distribution of a broad range of supplies and equipment of
high dollar value. Operated MHE and trained others to properly operate as well.
Ascertained the availability of stock on hand for customer support by perpetual
inventory. Responsible for inventory accountability records, identifying
gains/losses from the reports and correcting any discrepancies.
Recruiting: Recruited and determined applicant enlistment eligibility. Counseled
applicants on enlistment programs and options. Prepared enlistment applications
and processed qualified applicants to enlist in the Army National Guard.
Implemented and conducted Army awareness programs for up to five high schools and
one college in my assigned county area. Maintained a network of influencers to
include parents, educators and community officials in five high schools and one
college. Responsible for $30,000 worth of Government equipment.
Plans & Operations: Assisted Operations Officer in a Brigade Special Troops
Battalion, comprised of five companies and an assigned strength of over 400
Soldiers in planning, preparing, executing and after-action review of required
training. Assisted the Training and DTS NCOs as they efficiently enrolled
soldiers in required training based upon their job. Prepared instructions,
briefs, and rehearsals for the Battalion Executive Officer and Battalion
Commander. Received and appropriately handled and distributed FRAGOs, Red Cross
messages and Serious Incident Reports (SIRs). Responsible for providing tactical
and technical guidance and professional support to subordinate units. Made
recommendations to superiors concerning mission accomplishment.
Communications: Assisted in the LAN planning, design and installation of a new
incoming military unit. Continuously sought ways to improve the knowledge of the
staff through appropriate training. Familiar with government laws, regulations,
policies, procedures and guidelines that govern information security control
requirements. Ensured personnel training records were maintained to meet DIACAP
requirements.
