production support tasks. Wrote many specialized programs. Set up a quality
assurance environment for the MCR (Multi-life Case Reporting) subsystem.

Responsibilities - wrote and tested conversion programs
to convert United Companies from the LIFECOMM software system in a
DOS/VSE environment to the CYBERTEK software system in an OS/MVS operating
system. Played
a major role in the success of the final conversion to
the production environment and the ongoing production
support and clean-up.

Louisiana National Bank wanted to expand salary base and technical

Chance to get into systems and hands-on
small-shop environment.
Baton Rouge Bank was bought by an English businessman.
Layoffs were certain. After I left, all my
colleagues, including my boss, were laid-off.
United Companies after the conversion to the CYBERTEK software,
United Companies decided to lay-off the staff
and let CYBERTEK do the programming maintenance. CYBERTEK hired me
on to stay
and support the United Companies contract.
CYBERTEK when the contract between CYBERTEK and
United Companies expired, I was given the
choice of moving to Dallas or travelling to
client sites. I opted to travel rather than move.
I travelled 125,000 miles in six months. The
stress on my family and home life was too great.
My sons were still in high school and I needed to be
at home with them.
UNISYS A great opportunity opened up for me at Techsys Advanced Resources.
TECHSYS Contract did not get renewed after 8 years.
