SEEKING VIRTUAL EMPLOYMENT
My name is Terry Soileau. I am a Senior Electrical Designer with over 28 years
of Petro-Chemical related experience. I also have over 3 years experience in an
earlier career in Architecture.
The personal attributes I possess that I feel will benefit an employer most,
aside from my extensive knowledge in the field, are my attention to details and
my organizational skills. I also have broad experience in most aspects of
electrical design and am proficient in a multitude of computer programs
associated with this field.
I am considered to be very dependable and a team player that works exceptionally
well with other members of a design/project group. When I don’t know the answer
to a particular question I have no trouble admitting this and seeking out the
best answer from any source available.
Creation of One Line Diagrams, Elementary and Wiring Diagrams, Plans, Details,
Schedules and written Scopes of Work are the responsibilities I regularly have.
Also included are voltage drop and lighting calculations, along with complete
familiarity with the National Electric Code.
I am well versed in the use of 3D design tools such as Intergraph PDS,
Electrical Raceway, and Equipment Modeling and look forward to becoming a
valuable asset to a company that utilizes these for a better and more
cost-effective design effort.
Over the years I’ve developed an expertise in Microstation, while still being
proficient in AutoCAD, and have created a very extensive Microstation Electrical
user menu which helps to streamline any design effort. Efficiency in design is
one of my particular focuses. The menu includes many common commands and a
multitude of Electrical cells. I have the reputation of being the “go-to guy” for
Microstation questions.
My objective is to obtain employment with a stable and forward thinking company
where my talents and expertise can be utilized to help the company’s reputation
for excellent work grow in the eyes of both its current and future client base.
This position should allow for a virtual work effort utilizing the latest
technology to accomplish the desired goals. This could be the most cost effective
manner for completing a project, much as is being done with work share efforts
offshore today. I have substantial experience in that and see no reason not to
have it work here as well in this most technologically advanced nation in the
world. If you are willing to risk the effort then give me a call to discuss the
possibilities - [Send email to request phone number] 73-1186.
