WORK EXPERIENCE:
04/2007-10/2008 CDC Small Business Finance, San Diego, CA
Worked full time from a home office as a web developer/programmer on the CDC
Ventures software and support teams.
Provided telephone and on site customer support for the CDC Ventures small
business loan software application.
Worked on a project to convert the existing CDC Ventures application in
Microsoft Access to .NET 3.5 using ASP.NET, VBA.NET, ADO.NET, C#, HTML, Telerik
Rad Controls, DevExpress ASPX GridView and Editors Suite, Visual Studio 2005,
Visual SourceSafe 2005, Subversion, SQL Reporting Services, and SQL Server
Express 2005.
Worked extensively on converting the Access database to SQL Server Express
2005 using DTS, stored procedures, and triggers.
Converted hundreds of Access queries to SQL views for reporting purposes. Used
SQL views and UDFs to return data for reports.
07/2006-03/2007 Surrex Solutions, Owings Mills, MD
Worked on site at the CareFirst Blue Cross Blue Shield Headquarters as a
programmer on the Level 1 Help Desk staff.
Created an application to track IT Projects to ensure that no conflicts arose.
Wrote this application using Excel & Access XP VBA and VB.NET. Also worked on
converting this to a web app using Visual Studio.NET (VB.NET, ASP.NET, c#),
DHTML, Java/JavaApplets, DOM and XML.
Created and maintained an Access XP database used to consolidate Help Desk
ticket & call tracking statistics from Lotus Notes, Symposium, and Magic. Used
Excel & Access XP VBA, VB.NET, SQL Server 2005, DOS batch file processing, Lotus
Notes Scripting, Lotus NotesSQL, C, and C++.
Led a project to convert all Magic ticketing system Client IDs to match the
Active Directory ID. Used Excel & Access XP and SQL Server 2005.
Analyzed existing reports created in Crystal to measure specific Help Desk
Metrics. Fixed any problems and recreated the reports within the Help Desk
Metrics Database created in Access XP.
Created ASP.NET 2.0 web applications for viewing Help Desk Metrics data.
