PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Since April 2005:
I work as a Guest Researcher at the National Institute of
Standards and Technology (NIST) in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
I work on the HL7 health care project that is a software that
implements standards for the exchange, management and
integration of data for clinical care. I primarily work on the
user interface that involves JAVA, JSP, XML and Microsoft
Access database technologies.
I also work on the Virtual Cement and Concrete Testing
Laboratory (VCCTL) software that is a computer-based virtual
laboratory for evaluating and optimizing cementitious materials.
Substantial savings in time, materials (purchase and disposal),
human resources, and money can be achieved by reducing the
number of physical tests performed on concrete by private
industry thanks to VCCTL software. I work on the graphical
user interface that uses JAVA, JavaScript, JSP, Struts and
MySQL technologies.
April-September 2004:
I completed a six-month internship with SIEMENS company in
Germany: I implemented a server in C++ communicating with
a user interface in HTML.
ACTIVITIES AND INTERESTS
I enjoy learning foreign languages.
I play soccer in the Washington Premier League (WPL).
