Pro/Engineer, Pro/Cabling and/or Saber Harness software where demonstrated skills

EXPERIENCE:
Product Designer, Volvo Powertrain/Mack Trucks, Inc., Hagerstown, MD
Responsible for managing prototype and production design projects for Volvo/Mack
diesel engine systems. Interfacing with engineers, mechanics and test
technicians to complete designs for the engine wire harness, dashboard panels,
electronic unit pump injection systems, and engine brakes. Firm knowledge of
casting, forging, and plastic molding processes. Designs completed using
Pro/Engineer Wildfire 3.0, Pro/Cabling & Catia V5 solid modeling software.
Electronic designs completed in Saber Harness. Database sharing using
Pro/Intralink. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. 1999 to present.
Senior Electro/Mechanical Designer, DRS Electronics, Gaithersburg, MD
Responsible for managing prototype and production design projects in addition to
providing design solutions for development projects of E/M packaging. Designs
included flat panel radar displays, hand held computers, acoustic sensor relays,
radar training and emulation consoles, and fire control stations for military
defense systems above and below surface combatants. Designs completed using
SolidWorks, ProEngineer, Mechanical Desktop 3D parametric solid modeling software
and AutoCad Release 14 software. Completed thermal and stress analysis using
COSMOS/Works. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel. Implemented
designed parts into assembly drawings for release to production. 1998 - 1999.

Responsible for managing prototype and production design projects from concept
to completion. Designed and documented shelter integration systems and air
conditioning units for the military utilizing SolidWorks 3D parametric solid
modeling software. Implemented designed parts into assembly drawings for release
to production. Experienced in developing schematic and refrigerant piping
diagrams using AutoCad Release 14. 1997 - 1998.
