Software Consultant

·	Winery Information Management System: This application is divided into 5 major
subsystems:
·	Retail Point Of Sale Subsystem: A complete retail and wholesale POS tracks all
sales at the winery's tasting room. 
·	Customer Management Subsystem: Can track the sales for each customer who
visits the winery.
·	Reporting facilities: Complete set of reports for management to track the
sales of the winery, also can generate all necessary forms to the State Of
Maryland and the Federal Government for tax reporting.
·	Wine Festival Subsystem: This subsystem is basically used at wine festivals
and can be loaded onto a laptop. It is a complete retail POS and the transactions
can be exported to the main winery IMS for further analysis.
·	Technologies Used: All written in MS Access 2000. Front end user interface is
written in MS Visual Basic for Applications (Access).
·	Wholesale Reporting System: Currently under development. Imports sales data
from the winery’s distributor. The data is stored in the database and used for
many types of reporting.
·	Technologies Used: VB.NET for the user interface, and Access 2000 for the
database. Used Visual Studio 2005 .NET Pro for the development environment;
ADO.NET for 
database connectivity, and Crystal Reports for Visual Studio .NET for all the
reports.

·	Wholesale Sales Tracking System: tracks all sales to wholesale customers,
creates all necessary forms for both State and Federal agencies. Can track all

·	Event Tracking System (ETS): The ETS produces mailing labels and reports for
those individuals having birthdays during any selected month and for individuals
attending an event.
·	Technologies Used: The mailing labels and reports were created using Crystal
Reports for Visual Studio.NET 2005 Pro. User interface implemented using Visual
Basic .NET, and SQL Server 2005 for the database. Visual Studio .NET 2005 Pro
used for the development environment.
·	Webmaster: Completely revamped and updated website using Macromedia
Dreamweaver.
·	Technologies Used: HTML, Perl and PHP scripts and form to allow staff to
update web automatically.

BOOZ ALLEN HAMILTON, Annapolis Junction, MD 			2001 - 2004
Senior Consultant

·	Webmaster for local intranet. 
·	Revamped current website that utilized a cleaner and unified look and feel.
Created a robust front end performing web searches using Microsoft Active Server
Page technology and the IIS web server.
·	Designed and developed an automated tool, using the STL and C++, which
formatted and compacted macro script files that is used in a larger build
process.
·	Developed a telecommunications program running on Windows CE. This included
several classes performing file I/O on Windows CE.
·	Developed a standard way of deploying this program using Microsoft Windows
Installer technology.
·	Designed and developed a centralized client/server message logging program
using Visual C++, Microsoft Foundation Classes (MFC) and Sockets.
·	Made major modifications to a telecommunications program entailing adding
several database tables, stored procedures in a SQL Server RDBMS.
·	Created a series of libraries that allows any client program to communicate
with any ODBC compliant database. This was developed using Visual C++.

·	Designed a MS-MFC, using Visual C++, utility that migrated client data between
different versions of a client-server application.

·	Developed web site for a DoD customer.
·	Developed modules, for an object oriented signal-processing framework, on a
Sun/Solaris platform, using C++ and Xt/Motif for the graphical interface, for a
DoD customer.

DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE, Fort Meade, MD  				1990 - 1999
Computer Programmer 
	
·	Web master for a local branch office, analyzed, designed, coded, tested, and
maintained web pages for a web site, on a Solaris platform. 
·	Developed and maintained the CGI scripts that were used on the local web
site.
·	Created on-line versions of the Y2K defect reports utilizing the Oracle Web
Application Server, PL/SQL procedures, HTML and JavaScript.
·	Gathered user requirements for tracking metrics on Y2K activities. These
metrics were stored in an Oracle RDBMS. Then developed several reports using UNIX
shell and PERL.
·	Developed C++ classes, utilizing the Rogue Wave C++ libraries, to interface
the program to the spreadsheet’s Application Programmer Libraries (API).
·	Developed several programs using the Xt/Motif X-Window toolkit, on a Sun/UNIX
platform, using ANSI-C: a phone messaging system, an SQL statistical database
query program, notch band filter, audio file selection window, and a problem
tracking system.
·	Developed screens, using the Xt/Motif X-Window toolkit that allowed
information display modification and data modification and a voice processing
system. 
·	Developed a generic set of routines, written in ANSI-C on a SUN/UNIX platform
that allowed retrieval, insert, updating, and deleting of records in a SYBASE
RDBMS.  Ported these routines to connecting to an Oracle RDMBS.
