This is a portal for the intranet site of Qatar Petroleum. The functionality
which was in Lotus Notes Applications has been developed and incorporated into
the Enterprise Portal, using PDK and Webdynpro, Also dealt with KM and
Collaboration concepts.
It consisted of functionality mainly based on Knowledge Management (KM),
entire data is stored in KM documents, and retrieved through PDK and displayed in
portal as iviews.
The main functionality was around news, which has been created through XML
form builder.
Collaboration concepts such as Instant Messaging, Application Sharing and
Desktop Sharing were implemented.
It also included J2EE applications for timesheet and other functions.
Worked on Portal Customization using Themes to get the look and feel of an
internet website.
Contribution
As a team member, was responsible for
Handling demo for the client which was successful, well appreciated by the
client and the organization, and which fetched the project to the company.

Project Description
The project aims at developing a web system for capturing the information about
the raw materials in different plants for the client.
The project enables the user to capture the Consumption, Arrivals and Safety
Stock details (WEBCAS) and the graphical results are generated based on the data.
The database is MS SQL.WebDynpro connects to the backend to fetch data, and
views are rendered using the custom developed screens through webdynpro ivews on
the portal.
