Involved in the execution of a variety of graphics work in the Washington DC
area including: advertisements, books, catalogs, brochures, event promotions,
letterhead, business cards, logo designs, presentation materials including power
point, tradeshow graphics, illustration, web design/graphics, web site creation
and Flash animations as well as event and studio photography.
Laura-Leigh Palmer, principal and sole proprietor of asap graphics since 1988,
is extremely proficient in Adobe Illustrator, QuarkXPress, Adobe Photoshop, Flash
and Dreamweaver. Proficient in FileMaker, Microsoft PowerPoint, InDesign and
Microsoft Word. Also experienced with system maintenance and trouble shooting
software and hardware problems on Apple Computers and large format printers.
Specialties include * creation of photo collages, maps, affordable logo
design and Flash animations. In-house large format archival gicl e print and
poster services.
Adjunct Professor at Montgomery College
Currently teaching CG120: Art and Illustration I, and the advanced section
CG121: Art and Illustration II. Both classes teach students how to conceptualize
ideas and execute them using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. The advanced
section is also a portfolio building class. These are required courses for Art &
Animation students and can be used as an art credit by other majors. Have also
taught CG210: Art and Animation and AA127: Visual Communication Production. Has
been teaching at Montgomery College for over five years.
Professional Affiliations
Licensed D.C. Tour Guide, past President and currently a Board Member of the
Wheaton & Kensington Chamber of Commerce and current President of the Montgomery
Artists Association, member of the Illustrators Club of Washington, Washington
Apple Pi and various historical societies.

LINCs Service Learning Practicum, University of Pittsburgh Multi-week
service-learning project with a partner community in Peru. Laura-Leigh Palmer as
part of a team of 28 students constructed a pre-school and designed and executed
a 15 meter wall mural based on Incan mythology, 2006
