To Whom It May Concern:
I am interested in applying for a position of Telecommuting Call Center
Representative (Full Time). Most recently, I worked as a customer service
representative for a large insurance company and gained much experience with all
aspects of the industry. Before that, I worked as a customer service
representative for a cellular company and gained much experience with the
technical aspects of that industry. I also worked for 24 years in the
Hospitality Industry and gained an insurmountable amount of customer relations
experience. At Southern Maine Technical College, I had accounting courses and
graduated third in my class. My primary experience is with an IBM PC 486 with
Windows applications and a number of desk top programs such as MS Publisher 2.0,
Excel, MS Word 6.0, MS Works 2.0a, Quicken 6.0, Adobe Photoshop 2.5, Photostyler
2.0, etc. At the Ramada Inn, Howard Johnson, and Deering Ice Cream, I was
responsible for screening applicants, hiring and training employees. I have had
training, recently, as assistant comptroller. I was utilized to cover the
vacation times for the full time assistant comptroller at the Ramada Inn of
Portland. I am experienced on the Seimen’s console telephone system. Manpower
of Portland tested me on data entry. I scored no errors and 7108 keystrokes per
hour.
Although my official tasks were in the hospitality industry, my most recent
experience was designing several marketing materials and administrative paperwork
for the Ramada Inn of Portland, ME. I was responsible for the overall product
design, including the user interface. I frequently would be called upon to help
with the training of other employees on computers and to solve some computer
questions.
I enclose my resume as a first step in exploring the possibilities of employment
with your firm. I would appreciate your consideration of this inquiry. I look
forward to talking with you. Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Peter M. Files
