Projects
Winsight/CostView Compare – Values from two databases needed to be compared to
ensure data integrity in a process that runs nightly. Our team decided to create
an Oracle BPEL project to monitor the process by reading an xml file that
specified the values to compare, calling a java web service to do the compare,
and notifying the appropriate recipients if the compare resulted in
discrepancies. The project involved creating two BPEL processes, a java and a
.net web service. I was responsible for all aspects of the development of the
BPEL processes and the java web service as well as high involvement in the
integration of them on the J2EE servers.
WebLars – WebLars is a java web application that assists with the creation of
Lars and Rlars by Bath Iron Works. It is a complicated system with many business
and navigation rules. The application uses the Struts framework and is built
using IBM Websphere. I was responsible for fixing over fifty issues in the JSPs,
entity, business, and form beans.
Oracle 10G upgrade - This project involved taking an entire system (includes
interfaces, third-party software, and in-house developed applications) based off
of the Oracle 8 environment and porting it to the Oracle 10G environment. I was
responsible for testing the Oracle tables involved with the project and verifying
the data migrated successfully from one environment to the next.
ProjectView/CostView Interoperability - This project opened me up to the world
of Oracle. I developed stored procedures, cursors, scheduled tasks, and enhanced
my knowledge of the general syntax associated with building sql scripts in
Oracle.
