Senior Technical Analyst
Responsible for developing infrastructure requirements to support the strategic
and operational vision for the Finance Division. Managed a team of off-shore
developers to build an application that automated code deployments across the
division saving the company valuable DBA/SA man-hours, and providing a repeatable
process leading to more reliable and efficient deployments of source code. Key
deliverables include:
Enterprise Infrastructure Project (EIP)
o Infrastructure support and guidance for Oracle E-Business General Ledger
application. Application serves as the Book of Record for Wells Fargo /
Wachovia.
o Coordinate migration for all infrastructure components upgrading Hyperion
Master Data Management (MDM) to Data Relationship Management (DRM).
o Mentor Wachovia Staff in the use of Oracle's tools and RDBMS.
o Define configuration, change and release management policies to preserve the
integrity and stability of information systems with the end-state of managing the
system life cycle.
Implementation of HP Project Portfolio Management (PPM) formally,
Mercury ITG. Define and develop automated deployment processes to support the
migration of source code to all controlled environments.
LOS ALAMOS NATIONAL LABORATORY, Los Alamos, NM 1988-2006
Technical Staff Member
Worked with world-renowned scientists to develop automated processes and
applications ranging from weapons systems to environmental restoration. Managed
budgets in excess of 24 million dollars for various programs across the
Laboratory. Completed projects under budget and ahead of schedule delivering
state of the art solutions to the customer. Key deliverables include:
Defined Infrastructure Strategic Vision for the Health Policy Commission
within the State Of New Mexico.
Enterprise Project Oracle E-Business Implementation (EP)
o Served as Patch Coordinator for implementation of Oracle's Financial and HR
modules, using Mercury IT Governance, formally Kintana.
External Dosimetry Badge System (EDBS)
o Analysis, design, data modeling, coding, testing, and implementation of the
EDBS application in an Oracle RDBMS version 9i, normalizes to third normal form.
Laboratory Dose Reporting (LDR) Application
o Analysis, design, data modeling, coding, testing, implementation, and
documentation of the LDR Application consisting of over 12,000 users and over 3
million dose result records to comply with specific Department of Energy (DOE)
orders and regulations.
o Provided a historical look into Oracle views and tables denormalized to
accommodate the performance requirements of the data dating back to 1944.
Environmental, Health & Safety (ESH) Division.
o Team Leader for the application development effort, supervised 25 systems
engineers in providing integrated solutions using the ORACLE RDBMS and
corresponding tool-set.
o Mentored new staff in the areas of systems development, system administration,
and database administration (DBA).
o Over 20 mission critical three-tier (PC's & MAC client tier; NT-based middle
tier; & Sun Solaris database) applications in production which were 100%
generated (using Oracle Designer), complete with migrated business rules from
original code enabling the staff to change rules quickly with a higher degree of
universal enforcement.
ESH Integration Project
o Project Leader in development of an enterprise-wide Information Management
Strategic Plan, including strategic and operational components required for
planning technical and resource direction impacting over 2,000 employees at
LANL.
