EXPERIENCE

Wells Fargo Wealth Management Group:  	 June 2005 – December 2007
			
Part of a team of developers supporting hundreds of incoming and outgoing
nightly data feeds. 
Also responsible for support of hundreds of brokerage and related applications
on multiple iSeries platforms. Initial contract extended from six months to
thirty months, based on customer satisfaction.


Progressive Software, Inc. :   			1992 – 2005

Operating as CEO and major employee, all jobs described during this time period
were contract positions secured independently or performed as subcontractor
through third party contract agency.  Company offices based out of my home in St.
Louis Park, Minnesota. 

October 1999 – September 2005		THO Software
Responsible for analysis/design/coding/testing of custom software for community
non-profits.
THO has used/is using my “window generator” tool to enhance their existing
AS/400 software.

July 1999 – October 1999			Holden Graphics Services
Responsible for coding and testing of Y2K code remediation involving modifying
hundreds of programs.

January 1998 – July 1999			Automotive Northern / Uni Select USA
Responsible for design, testing and implementation of Y2K remediation for
warehouse/distribution systems. Responsible for combining monthly sales from UNIX
and AS/400 into major reporting system for Marketing.
Design/testing/implementation of conversion programs for AS/400 to UNIX
conversion of whse/dist system.

April 1997 – December 1997			Trimin Systems
Provided ongoing customization of client/customer MAPICS applications. Wrote
custom in-house software on AS/400 platforms.

December 1996 – April 1997			Datacard Corporation
Created AS/400 to PC payroll interface for automated payment of employer payroll
taxes payable.
Provided miscellaneous maintenance and support of existing AS/400 custom
software.

June 1996 – November 1996			Greentree Financial
Performed analysis/coding/testing of credit scoring system. Successful
implementation of this code corrected long-term scoring problems. Redesign of
customer lead system reduced code from hundreds of separate programs to a dozen
flexible data driven programs. Analyze/redesign/reprogram of HUD required Home
Mortgage Disclosure Act reporting. Redesigned yearly process into quarterly
process for HUD compliance.  Programming development performed on multiple AS/400
platforms.

Code fixes for multiple system applications were consistently completed on time
or ahead of schedule.
Programming development on AS/400 platform.

May 1995 – April 1996				Help Systems
Performed testing of new AS/400 product CONSOLE. Contract extended to help test
new release of product ROBOT. Developed programming for automated regression
testing of product CONSOLE.

January 1992 – April 1995			Carey Systems, Inc. / Vista Telephone
Telephone company software conversion project. Developed Automatic Report
Submission System, decreasing user workload from hours to minutes. Major time
spent on FCC and NECA reporting systems.
Programming development on AS/400 platform.

Independent Contractor:  			 1989 – 1992

July 1991 – January 1992			Regis Corporation
Senior team member on orders project. Sophisticated coding techniques included
subfiles and windows.
Programming development on AS/400 platform.

April 1990 – June 1991				Northland Insurance
Provided technical support. Reduced nightly batch run time by a number of hours.
Assisted in development of on-line Documentation System. Designed, developed,
tested, and implemented Installment Fees System. Developed product installation
utility, which was used to put completed software project into production. 
Programming development on AS/400 platform.

January 1990 – April 1990			Support Services & Software
Performed the conversion from an S/36 to an AS/400. Converted OCL to CL programs
and rewrote RPG II code. New development included a file-driven menu system to
restrict system access by user. Used OPNQRYF to select and sequence data for
applications.

December 1989 – February 1990 		Redline MediMart
Developed new G/L reports using prompt screens, CL, RPG/400, and externally
defined database and printer files. Worked on the conversion of data from non-IBM
computer systems to externally defined database files.

September 1988 – November 1989		Department 56
Set up an AS/400 for production systems. Migrated systems from an S/36 to the
AS/400 including follow-up testing and fixes. Assisted in the development of
department standards. Developed numerous operator and programmer utilities
including Programming Request System, Source Documentation Utility, Workstation
Timeout Utility, Subsystem On/Off Utility, File Driven Subfile Menu System, Job
Definition, and Scheduling System, Field Sequence Interface, and Field Selection
Interface.

July 1987 – September 1988			Farmstead Foods
Converted S/36 Payroll to S/38. Developed, tested, and implemented Magnetic
Media Reporting System. Responsible for programming change requests. Provided
assistance to users, operators, and programmers.

May 1986 – July 1987				Hibbing Electronics
Developed Product Entry/Maintenance/Reporting System and Product
Quotation/Pricing System. 
Responsible for system operation, maintenance and back up, as well as data
back-up and user assistance.

September 1984 – May 1986		 Wisconsin Indianhead Technical Institute/College 

Education:	Earned Associate of Arts degree in Data Processing from school
located in Superior, Wisconsin.  Two year hands on program provided first year of
learning basics and coding on System 34 machine located on site.  Second year was
entirely learning and coding on in house System 38 machine.  Grade Point Average
of 3.8 +.  Transcript available upon request.  Granted early release based on
knowledge of material and early completion of assignments.  Went directly to new
position in Hibbing.
