The purpose of the Order Fulfillment Project is to enhance the ability to
fulfill the orders taken in advance on-time, consistent with customer’s
expectations, and to improve the accuracy of the order fulfillment metrics
reporting. This project was delivered on-schedule with very few problems
reported from the field, earning a client appreciation for the well-planned and
executed design and development efforts. I led a team of three developers and was
responsible for the delegation of duties and managing resources.
Designed and developed middle-tier components for call center
applications and handheld computers using .NET C#, XML, XSL, SQL SERVER 2005 and
NUNIT to streamline the order fulfillment processes by improving visibility to
order details, enforcing order cut-offs, proactively notifying customers of
visit/order modifications, improving reporting capability and eliminating
duplicate customer records in the customer database.
Evaluated the customer and address data quality tools available in the
market and helped in arriving at a decision to purchase the Pitney Bowes’s Group
1 software to improve the customer data quality.
Designed and developed batch applications to streamline the order
archival and deletion process.
Involved in the documentation of the entire process flow from placing
orders to fulfilling orders using Microsoft Visio and ProVision modeling tool.
Designed and developed customer matching modules aimed at identifying
duplicate customer entries.
Designed and developed Address Validation and Standardization services
using Customer Data Quality package.
Designed and developed SQL stored procedures and queries to interface
between the middle-tier components, batch applications and the database.

The purpose of Schwans.com NextGen project was to encompass the long term
strategy for schwans.com focusing on increased on-line order frequency. Fry Inc.
developed website using their Open Commerce Platform (OCP) to do real-time data
integration to Schwan's existing back-office with the website hosted at Schwans.
Designed and developed middle-tier components and Web Services for
www.schwans.com using .NET C#, XML, SQL SERVER 2005, XSL and NUNIT.
Took part in technical and business meetings with FRY Inc., to
incorporate new e-commerce platform with updated branding, guided navigation,
expanded categorization, recipe database, ratings & reviews, dynamic web content
and improved registration and checkout.
Designed a solution to integrate FRY’s java based Open Commerce
Platform with Schwans data repository through .NET XML web services.
Documented the business rules for various types of coupons, promotions
and discounts in the current system which helped in rewriting some of them in
.NET C#.
Designed and developed high performance batch applications to feed
product, pricing and inventory data periodically to the Fry system.
Designed and developed SQL stored procedures and queries to interface
between the middle-tier components, batch applications and the database.

Ready Set Grow (RSG!) was the Mainframe Elimination Initiative program of
Schwan’s Food Company. It was an Organization-wide conversion program from the
existing Mainframe code-base of Business systems (such as Payroll, Account
Receivables, Banking, WholeSale and Retail RouteSystems, Orders, Inventory, HR)
to Microsoft .NET and SQL Server based Web and Windows applications. RSG! follows
Microsoft’s best design practices and underwent a lot of thorough analysis of
existing systems’ portfolio to extract the business requirements from the huge
COBOL code-base.
Contributed to the development team activities (design, modeling,
prototyping, coding, testing, and documentation) by taking part in the reviews in
various stages.
Worked with the business users to define and document the "As-Is" and
"To-Be" business processes and business rules.
Got a detailed understanding of business functionality and took the
responsibility of preparing the Functionality Test Plan which was used by testing
team while doing their testing process.
I was involved in various activities of the project like information
gathering, analyzing the information gathered, documenting the functional or
business requirements.

The purpose of the Hand-Held Enhancement project was to introduce a swipe device
to be attached to the HHC’s carried by the customer service managers to
accomplish credit card swipe and to redefine the rules of Electronic Benefits
Transfer (EBT) payment for items that do not qualify for human consumption. The
payment process and systems were changed to prohibit EBT payment for non-food
products since that violated the EBT agreement with the federal government.
Involved in creation of system and integration test plans and reviewed
it with the project manager and the business analysts.
Designed and created test scripts for this project using QACenter
Optimal Trace and reviewed it with the business analysts and developers.
Designed SQL queries to setup data for test script execution.
Involved in defect reporting through QACenter Track Record.
Tested various processes of the project including,
o Download process that downloads customer, order, inventory, product, pricing,
DOT and truck details to the handheld computers
o Routebook application that is used by the customer service managers to service
customers utilizing the data downloaded to the handheld computers
o Upload process that updates data from the handheld computers to the customer,
order, inventory, sales etc., tables in the database.
The master test case document created for this project is used as a baseline
handheld testing document for all handheld related projects since this project.
