North Kansas City Hospital, North Kansas City, MO
A state-of-the-art facility and leader in advanced technologies, North Kansas
City Hospital is a 451-bed hospital facility providing a host of inpatient and
outpatient services. Over 3,000 employees, with 550 physicians representing 45
medical specialties, and revenues in excess of $350M. Ranked No. 1 among
Kansas City area hospitals ' by The Business Journal.
MANAGER OF ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES 1999 * Present
Direct multiple departments and a 24/7 sanitation and textile services
operation for 1.1 million sq. ft. of hospital space and 265,000 sq. ft. of
medical office building real estate.
Manage service contracts in excess of $1.4M per year.
100% within-budget management of $6M annual expense and operations budget.
Built a customer-centric culture. Supervise a professional staff of highly
qualified leaders and personnel.

one of three major institutions that make up the Truman Medical Centers.
TRANSPORTATION COORDINATOR 1995 * 1999
Designed, built and led new business unit controlling system-wide
transportation programs encompassing facility, specialty, resident, out-patient
and administrative transport and their support systems. Responsible for over
8,100 patient transports each year.
Formed Transportation Business Plan to guide strategic operation of
division.
Managed capital assets in excess of $250K and controlled an annual operating
budget of $110K. Oversaw purchase, maintenance, and service contracts, and
administrated tax-exempt status for a 17-vehicle fleet.

Recruited, trained and supervised a top-caliber staff of transport
personnel. Wrote facility-wide procedures, designed customer-focused transit
service policies, and organized routes and schedules for a 7-city area.

for brokered Medicaid contracts.
Designed a system-wide Medicaid billing cycle to GAAP principles that
