Professional Experience

NextGen Reseller 2005 - Present
Director, Implementation and Training

Accomplishments:

 * Created implementation process including all written training materials
including project plans, statements of work and training audits.
 * Monitored the progression of projects to make sure deliverables and timelines
were being met within scope and the financial budget established.
 * In addition to managing the department with clear direction for team members
and managing projects, I also trained approximately 40% of the time.
 * Developed yearly performance appraisal guidelines to incorporate current
performance with a staff development strategy for continuing education goals for
the upcoming year.
 * Successful implementation track record; one in particular that was very
successful was a large Cardiology group. The implementation included several
interfaces in addition to the traditional EPM and EMR training. The entire
implementation plan with milestones and timelines was incorporated into a legal
document created by the client's legal representation and our corporate attorney.
What was unusual about the legal document is that there were financial penalties
that had to be paid by my employer should any milestone and/or timeline not be
met. In the end the implementation was very successful and not one dime of money
was paid by my employer to the client because of missed milestones and/or
timelines.

Responsibilities:
 * Key leader in NextGen Reseller Start-up Company.
 * Managed training staff and billable hours to ensure profitability.
 * Project Manager for all implementation projects, including both EPM/EMR
phases. Served as the main point of contact for clients during the implementation
process.
 * Scheduled appropriate resources, both internal and outsourced, to execute the
tasks in the project plan.
 * Notified clients in advance if the project was on course for going beyond the
original scope; consulted with clients and offered options and recommendations on
best course to pursue to stay within the original scope.
 * Used independent judgment to plan, execute and direct implementation tasks.
 * Coordinated software conversions such as demographics, payers, balance
forwards and appointments.
 * Coordinated HL7 interface projects - Quest Lab Interfaces, Lab Corp, Meditech
Bi-Directional Demographic, Fletcher Flora and custom applications.
 * Worked with clients to identify and resolve issues and problems related to
the project.
 * As a certified NextGen EPM & ICS trainer, conducted training sessions in both
large and small venues with physicians and staff.
 * Ability to easily connect to clients and relate real life scenarios during
training due to many years of medical practice management experience.
 * Provided recommendations to clients on areas for departmental or
implementation process improvements.
 * Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented and self-motivated to
accomplish directives and goals.
 * Organized projects through Microsoft CRM, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
