Delphi Developer				Contractor to Veterans' Health Administration
October, 2008 – November, 2009:  Maintained and enhanced Bar Code Medication
Administration (BCMA) Delphi client.  Projects included Managing Scanning
Failures (MSF), Allergies and Alerts, Special Instructions and Other Print Info,
Section 508 Compliance for Accessibility, Parameterization for Indian Health
Services (IHS), and Remedy trouble report tickets.  All of these projects used
Delphi 2006 and RPC Broker.  Used the VA section 508 component software and JAWS
to develop the accessibility enhancements.  As part of the BCMA projects worked
with several groups including BCMA Workgroup, Clinical Product Support (CPS),
Patient Safety Program Office (PSPO), Vista Maintenance Project (VMP), Section
508 Workgroup, and Indian Health Services (IHS).
March, 2008 – October, 2008, worked simultaneously on an additional project
Event Capture.  Maintained and enhanced client GUI based on requirements.  Served
as lead coordinator for other developers.  Used Delphi 5, VA RPC Broker, FileMan,
and CPRS components.  Also used TMS components.  Worked with MUMPS developer who
maintained server-side code.
2007 – 2008: Maintained and enhanced the Primary Care Management Module (PCMM)
Delphi client GUI based on requirements.  Added functionality including patient /
team assignments enhancements and a report which retrieved information on patient
inactivations.  Used Delphi 6, VA RPC Broker, Fileman, and  CPRS components. 
Also used TurboPower Orpheus and TMS components.  Worked with MUMPS developers
who maintained server-side code.

Developed application in Delphi 2006 to communicate with DICOM servers at the
Veterans Administration.  Functionality included Modality Worklist queries for
broad-based patient search and detailed patient information, conversion of images
from TIF to DICOM format, and send of images to storage server.  Developed
application to scan TIF images and extract patient information using OCR SDK. 
Used Leadtools Medical Imaging Suite 14.5 for DICOM and image functionality.

Maintained and developed a database application in Visual Basic and MySQL which
is used to collect information on patients, centers, and MRI’s used in clinical

Visual C++ Programmer/Analyst
Converted and enhanced the MRIAP (Magnetic Resonance Image Analysis Package)
program. It was originally written on Sun XView, C/UNIX and converted to MS
Windows using Visual C++ 7 / MFC.  Features included image display, manual
editing, seven segmentation modes, AIR registration, header editing, and file
conversion from GE or DICOM to MRIAP proprietary format.  Wrote user guide and
programmer’s guide for MRIAP.
Used Solaris 8 / CDE in testing of MRIAP.

Delphi Programmer/Analyst
Completed development and testing of a GUI which interfaced with another program
used to design metal buildings.  Features included edit of rafter, column, girt,
purlin, and load information. GUI converted files from an old to a new data
format.

Built a system to manage software installed on factory-produced computers
designed with a SQL backend and a Delphi client used by all regions of the
consumer division in real-time.  Designed database used by this application and
other related applications.  Converted and enhanced parts of the system as web
pages using Interdev, ASP, ADO, XML, and XSLT.  Wrote CMC mail interface DLL
using C++.
Wrote a set of SQL stored procedures to import data from related systems. 
Developed a web application to allow users to queue data import tasks.  Wrote SQL
code to import data from an Oracle database.  Managed database servers using MS
SQL Server 7.0 including database creation, backup, and restore.
Wrote a Delphi client to view and update software bills of material stored on
factory databases.
Led project to convert all database-related applications in group from SQL
Server 6.5 to 7.0.
