Senior Information Specialist
Expertly develop, maintain, and promote processes used across EDS to manage
projects and develop software as part of a dynamic global team. Oversee all
aspects of an enterprise-wide quality-management system utilizing
quality-assurance processes. Manage configuration and solve requests for changes
to processes and assets, determine change-control procedures, perform
quality-assurance on all processes and systems, and ultimately ensure corporate
standards (including SOX and U.S. export compliance laws) are met. Command
several helpdesks that support the process sets across EDS. Coach and mentor
project teams and organizations.
* Transformed dealer assistance center application for Cadillac that had started
2 weeks late and delivered it on time by streamlining processes and building a
smarter program architecture.
* Enabled EDS to leverage existing assets by pioneering, implementing, and
managing a reuse repository (the first reuse repository within EDS).
* Fulfilled entire mainframe parsing project, including building, testing, and
completing, in only 6 hours, instead of the 450 hours it was estimated to take,
by analysis and development of a new solution.
* Developed numerous C-lists, MS Word and MS Excel-based tools, and process
enhancements that potentially affected 65,000+ users company-wide, providing
significant ongoing time/cost savings for EDS.
* Spearheaded the configuration management (CM) for applications in response to
an RFI from Pfizer, which helped ensure Pfizer took a systems view of their
entire organization, rather than a narrow CM and change management view.
* Innovated an effective response to an RFP from JP Morgan Chase for CM, a $15B
pursuit, by aggregating many different approaches to CM into a single set of
processes and procedures.

employees by devising a new, simplified, and clear definition for "data
management," which was adopted company-wide.
* Created excerpts from both the staged and continuous versions of the CMMI for

transaction to allow users to request accounting information through a batch
process, a system to receive electronic data interchange transmissions of
shipment data through job-entry subsystem-IBM mainframe, and an online and batch
time-accounting system using a fourth-generation language, ISPF dialogues, and
Clists. Performed careful analysis and provided expert maintenance on various
batch and online systems.
* Delivered a database-synchronization project estimated to require 2,080 hours
in only 70 hours by creating, implementing, and promoting an alternate solution.
* Created a mainframe, TSO-based time-accounting system that was used by all IT
projects and teams at Airborne Express.
* Debugged the remittance entry system and documented the entire procedure,
including the password, before leaving Airborne, allowing those who followed to
correct defects on an ongoing basis.

Senior Programmer/Analyst
Drove productivity and ensured results by providing skilled technical lead on
major projects, directing the efforts of five other programmers. Spearheaded the
testing and implementation of Arthur Anderson's Manufacturing package and
Software International's General Ledger System. Developed, installed, and
maintained several programs and systems to satisfy user needs in the areas of
inventory accounting, sales, and inventory control, using structured COBOL
techniques.
* Located $1.6M that had disappeared from an audit report by determining that a
manual change to a customer name had inadvertently dropped 7 records off the back
end of the financial file (restored the records, reran the audit report, and
arrived at the correct balance).
* Discovered an oversight in the lack of performance of general ledge year-end
running, as well as a lack of proper documentation; personally spearheaded
project and documented procedures so that others in the future could perform
procedures.
* Led the redesign of the manufacturing work order used by three different
departments, resulting in a 2.5-year period in which there were no requested
changes to theform or the application.
* Created a new system to track backlogged sales, including IMS DC screens and
an IMS database, and created SDM 70 documentation to support it.
