PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Independent Contractor, Wake Forest, North Carolina 2008 VBA Developer
Gathered requirements and developed multiple MS Excel based tools. Stepped in
to redesign tables, forms, reports, and queries to repair an MS Access 2007
database that had never made it to production.
Created MS Excel User Forms to enter new rows or modify existing rows in a
spreadsheet. The data was retained in multiple worksheets. Dropdown lists
enabled easy selection of existing data. Data validation and accumulation of
numeric data were built in to ensure integrity of data. (Wake Forest Psychiatric
Associates)
Developed MS Excel tools to merge data exported from accounting and payroll
systems to be uploaded into other applications. This provided both data
integrity and significant time savings over manually entering the data. (Mr.
Paul Sipe, CPA, ABV in Durham)
Analyzed and redesigned the tables in an MS Access 2007 database to ensure
referential integrity and consistent data entry. The redesigned tables use
actual data as primary keys rather than MS Access assigned, auto-numbered keys
that had to manually be managed in additional tables. The original design was
never able to support requirements and was therefore never promoted to
production. The redesign ensured data integrity and has resulted in the ability
to produce reports to support the enterprise. (K L Shane Inc.)
Developed MS Access tool to import timecard data from MS Excel. This tool
pulls in data from each worksheet, edits it, and either updates existing rows or
adds new rows to appropriate tables.
Smart Online Inc., Durham, North Carolina 2008 Senior Quality Assurance
Engineer
Responsible for developing QA processes and procedures to integrate QA into the
appropriate touch points within each project's life cycle.
Developed, when needed, MS Office based tools to automate repetitive tasks.
This included an Excel-based tool to automatically format, total and graph MySQL
query data.
Developed SQL queries and analyzed the results from a MySQL database to
produce defect quality and density statistics. This gave Smart Online the needed
data to determine that money would be saved by bringing the development work in
house.
Responsible for developing QA processes and procedures to integrate QA into
the appropriate touch points within each project's life cycle.
Evaluated, tested, and recommended a tool to automate testing.

dynamic global team. Oversee all aspects of an enterprise-wide quality-management
system utilizing quality-assurance processes. Command several helpdesks that
support the process sets across EDS. Coach and mentor project teams and
organizations.
Developed numerous C-lists, MS Word and MS Excelbased VBA tools, and process
enhancements that potentially affected 65,000+ users company-wide, providing
significant ongoing time/cost savings for EDS.
Managed development and ongoing maintenance of an MS Access database. This
included tables and relationships, forms, queries and reports.
Developed MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, MS Access, and MS Project VBA tools

manually.

Office VBA based tools created with MS Excel and MS Word.

and consistency could be maintained.
