LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE
Judge for the North West Arkansas Boosting Engineering, Science, and
Technology (BEST) competition – middle and high school robotics competition
(www.bestinc.org) – 2004.
Mentored Ph.D. and Masters Students for large scale simulations of
materials properties.
System administrator of IIT Kanpur Physics Computational lab from 1997
– 2001. Managed several Linux and windows based desktops.
Webpage design of IIT Kanpur Physics Department and my research lab in
University of Arkansas.
Student Senate member at IIT Kanpur during my grad school. Student
representative in several subcommittees of academic senate and student senate.
Helped organize institute level student festivals.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
1) Research Associate : North Carolina State University, NC (2005 - present)
2) Research Associate : University of Arkansas, AR (2002 – 2005)
3) Research Associate : IEMN, Lille, France (2001 - 2002)
The above positions involved simulation of materials properties on massively
parallel computers. Other skills acquired during this period are strong
programming skills, strong mathematical ability, and demonstrated communication
skills. Above mentioned positions resulted in over a dozen papers in topmost
physics journals and a large number of international conference presentations.
This also led to invitations from best international journals in
physics/materials science for editorial works.
