I have owned a retail business with my wife for the last 10 years. Business is
not as strong hence, does not keep me as busy in the office as it once did.
I am hoping for some telecommute opportunities to supplement my activity and my
income. I have worked as a contract developer quite a bit in the past. I am
well able to self direct and work independently, but I do not desire to go out of
town every week.
I have worked automating Microsoft Office applications, primarily Access, since
1995.
I will be glad to supply additional information on request.
A synopsis of my experience:
October, 2007 – Present
Part time Help Desk technician for OpinionLab, a supplier of website analytical
services. Additionally, perform Microsoft Office automation tasks for their
Measurement Services group.
March, 1999 – Present
Co-owner and operator of Angelwing Needle Arts, a full service retail needlework
supply store. I am responsible for most back office work, while my wife operates
the store.
August, 2002 – December, 2003
Private contractor at Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina in Columbia, SC
developing Microsoft Office applications in the following areas:
1- Reporting dashboards to monitor Enterprise server systems activities (Access,
Excel)
2- Test tracking database application to support software testing group
activities and status of application testing (Access, Excel, Word)
3- Various user interface applications (Access) that eliminated requesting
reports be manually generated by mainframe system operators
March, 1999 – May, 2002
Private contractor at Bi-Lo Incorporated offices in Greenville, SC designing,
developing, and deploying user applications to streamline office operations.

November, 1998 – March, 1999
Launched new retail business specializing in high-end needlework supplies for
knitting, needlepoint, counted cross-stitch, crewel, and quilting. Developed
several MS Access database and Excel applications to support this business in
conjunction with off-the-shelf accounting software.
August, 1998 – November, 1998
Private contractor at Andersen Consulting in Hartford, CT. Designed, developed
and implemented an Access Database system including front end user interface
screens to support a Client Satisfaction Measurement and Reporting Initiative.
1989 - 1998
Logistics Engineer at Hamilton Standard Division of United Technologies at
Windsor Locks, CT. Utilized Microsoft Office development environment for
numerous reporting activities and spare parts projections for customers.
