RSEARCH EXPERIENCE:
Masters Thesis : I am currently working on my thesis, Multicasting in ADHOC
networks. May 2010
Research Paper COARSE - CLuster-Based Quality Oriented Radio Resource
Allocation Scheme , H. Venkataraman, A. Chowdhary and G.M. Muntean: - Under
Review in Elsevier Computer Networks.
Research Project: QOAS protocol
May2008-July 2008
My research topic deals with objective and subjective testing results, which
assess the performance of the Quality-Oriented Adaptation Scheme (QOAS) when used
for high quality multimedia streaming over wireless Multi Hop Ad Hoc Cellular
Networks. My objective is to show that results of tests using a QOAS simulation
model developed in Network Simulator (NS2).
RELEVANT COURSE PROJECTS:
Adaptive Quality of Service with Cisco Access Points Jan 2010 May 2010
The objective of this project is to evaluate the influence of having QoS
configuration in access points for multimedia traffic (Voice Over IP, data, and
streaming) in the presence of background best effort traffic. This project was
conducted on real Cisco AP 1240AG, and, simulations were performed in OPNET.
Simulation Project : Markov Queues Jan 2010 May 2010
Simulating a single and multiple server system with QoS policies like uniform or
shortest queue first and comparing both the systems under multiple input
conditions. The system is developed in C language and Matlab.
Internet protocols: DGoogle Sept 2009 Dec 2009
A Google like application based on Distributed Hash Table was implemented in
both Centralized and a Peer- to- Peer design applications. This application was
developed in Java platform.
Connection-oriented networks: Opnet simulations for ATM networks Sept 2009
Oct 2009
The objective is to find a mix of permanent and soft virtual connections
(SVX/[S] PVX) to prevent the resources from being reserved in excess, while
ensuring that the QoS requirements are still met. This project is done using
OPNET.
Connection-oriented networks Nov 2009 Dec 2009
- Implemented a Generic cell rate leaky bucket algorithm in C.
- MPLS traffic engineering: using Graphical network simulator
GNS3.
OTHER WORK EXPERIENCE AND COURSE WORK
B-Tech Project INTERNSHIP STMicroelectronics, Greater Noida, India Dec
2008-April 2009
Worked as a trainee in Technical, Research and Development department. Worked
on Development and Optimization of Structured ASIC libraries in VLSI. I had used
Cadence Virtuoso for layouts and schematics.
Bachelors: Operating Systems, Embedded Systems, Object Oriented Programming,
Digital Signal Processing, Digital Communications, Digital System Architecture,
Introduction to VLSI, Labs in VLSI, CMOS Analog IC Design, Computer System
Architecture and Organization, Integrated Electronics.
OTHER COURSE PROJECTS:
Orthopedic Hospital Management system (OHM) Jan2008 - Apr 2008
Client: Dr. Vijay Upadhyay, Gandhinagar, India
Development of OHM software which caters to the needs and helps in day to day
functioning of an Orthopedic hospital. This software was developed using Perl and
Mysql.
Implementation of Wireless Mouse Mar2008 - May 2008
Implemented a wireless mouse using the tilt measurements given by an
accelerometer. The tilt data is sent from a Microcontroller (ATMega32
STK500), by wireless transmission, to the computer. Skills Used: AVR
Microcontroller Programming - Hardware Used: ATMega128 Kit.
Simulation of 8085 Microprocessor Aug2006 - May2007
Implementation of 8085 microprocessor with Verilog
modules, based on, Finite State Machines. The project was developed in
Xilinx-ISE.
