PROFILE
I am hardworking, punctual, very detail and goal oriented, always willing to
learn new things, and always willing to help others out.
EXPERIENCE
July 2009-Present: North Carolina Urological Associates, Inc (Raleigh, NC)
Here at NCUA I am a Front Desk Coordinator. My main responsibility is check in.
I am responsible for setting up charts at the beginning of the day and checking
in patients for our 4 doctor practice. There are times where I will occasionally
have to schedule appointments, help in our medical records department, or assist
with check out but those just show my ability to multi-task, work under pressure,
and my flexibility and knowledge of other departments. We currently use a web
based system called Athena and are in the process of getting EMR up and running
by the beginning of 2011.
July 2007-July 2009: Carolina Allergy & Asthma Consultants (Cary, NC)
Being the Front Desk Coordinator at Carolina Allergy and Asthma comes with a lot
of responsibility. My duties include things such as logging faxes on our daily
fax log, pulling and filing charts, scheduling appointments for future and
current patients, answering telephones, checking patients in and out, cleaning
and organizing the waiting rooms as well as exam rooms, and helping the nurses
out to the best of my ability. During my employment here we currently use a
program called Mysis, which is a scheduling program used by many doctors offices
in the surrounding area.
Jan, 2006 - July 2007: MedAssist, Inc (Durham, NC)
I am a Patient Account Representative. My responsibilities include calling
patient's for possible screening for Medicaid and the Financial Hardship Program,
sending out follow up letters as well as applications if needed, helping the
patient with any assistance they need in the process, contact caseworkers
frequently for follow up status on the patient's Medicaid, and follow up with the
patient in the event of a denial and make sure the patient is on the right road
for a Medicaid approval. I also helped our Data Entry Specialist with loading
accounts as well as running various reports.
During my employment with MedAssist, Inc I was briefly put on site at Duke
Raleigh Hospital as an On Site patient account representative. I would travel to
patients’ rooms who were admitted into the hospital with no insurance to see if
they would qualify for any of our assistance programs. While working for this
company we used various programs such as MediTech and IDX for scheduling
appointments, viewing medical records, entering data, printing reports, and
checking statuses of pending charity applications.
January 2005-January 2006: Credit Financial Services (Durham, NC)
Here at Credit Financial Services I was a Medical Bill Collector. We mainly
dealt with trying to collect money owed to a client from a patient before the
debt was placed on their credit file. We worked with clients such as doctor's
offices, veterinarians, ambulatory services, and the occasional child care bill,
or attorneys’ fees bill.
My responsibilities during my employment with Credit Financial Services were to
call patients who owed bills, particularly medical, and see if an arrangement
could be made to pay bill in full, or make payments on the bill monthly. I was to
notate accounts accordingly and keep them updated weekly.
Feb, 2002 - Jan, 2005
Cashier for Winn Dixie (Wake Forest NC 27587)
At Winn Dixie, I initially started off working in the Floral Department
arranging flowers and doing displays, mainly because I was hired around
Valentine’s Day and they were in need at the time of someone to do the floral
arrangements. From there I went to being a cashier. In the event that they needed
help in the other areas of the store I would occasionally help out in the
Deli/Bakery, Back Door Receiving, Produce Dept, Dairy/Frozen Food Dept, and the
bagging, stocking and blocking. I also helped the CSM when they needed help.
Towards the end of my employment with Winn Dixie I was working strictly in the
Deli Department making party trays, helping customers, cutting meats and cheeses,
taking orders for party platters, keeping the displays neat and organized and at
the end of the evening, disposing of everything that needed to be disposed of
properly, and cleaning the machines and floors, and cleaning the dishes used that
day, while preparing for the ones needed for the next.
