VBA Programmer Tosco, Tremeley Point NJ Oct 1993 - Jan
1998
Lead in implementing new Tank Inventory system using VBA in Excel to gauge and
track volume variations for each location. Was the Model application for the
Northeast Division and became the lead project manager for the Northeast
Division. Performed extensive and detailed research in product flow in pipelines,
ships, truck and internal tank systems. Eventually was able to calculate and
document for product density and temperature difference in the VBA coding in the
Excel application showing the type of variance affecting the inventory.
- Redesigned and rewrote a custom Tank Inventory system in VBA using Excel to
track pipeline, ship and truck shipments and deliveries for the terminal. This
intensive VBA application tracked each shipment and delivery, matched each tank
movement with each shipment or delivery and explained any variances in the
inventory levels.
- Model for the Northeast Division and was distributed to each terminal
location. Trained each location on the proper use and became the Technical Lead
for the Northeast.
- Oversaw the installation of the TAS 2000 analog computer and trained
employees on its use. Researched any potential problems for employees or vendor
drivers. Wrote the terminal manual for the proper use of the input screens and
listed common trouble shooting techniques.
