them via emails. Comprehensive web pages are provided to the web
master/administrator to maintain the database. Appropriate securities are
incorporated throughout the site

Description: Cyber Zone! is a product developed for cyber cafιs. It has 2
modules namely Administrator and Workstation. The administrator module fulfils
housekeeping activities of a cafι, viz issuing unique token for internet usage,
maintaining member information, users time management, monitoring busy & free
workstations, bill generation for internet access, suspending the time clock in
case of a connection break.
Worked on Inventory Systems and Ship and Track Systems and Document Management
Systems.

Used DAO to query and process data on MS Access.
The concept of MDI features of VB 6.0 have been used for the Administrator
module
Extensively used DB Grid Control for displaying Data to the user
Maintained the application after successful implementation of the system at
over 50 sites. During the maintenance cycle many enhancements were done to the
system. The main enhancements done to the system were introducing the concept of
Happy Hours and also display of advertisements on the Workstations.
Used COM technologies. Developed an ActiveX DLL, which acts as a scheduler for
advertisements display on the workstations.
Win32 APIs have been used in the workstation module for various activities
like preventing user access to the system resources without proper
authentication, terminating user specified applications, etc.
Used Crystal Reports 7.0 to develop different kind of reports
Worked on extranet application Magellan a Ship and Track System and Document
Management Systems
Description: Magellan is a Ship & Track system, developed for OPCOM cables, a
leading manufacturer of fibre optic cables. The three types of users for the
system are Customers, Transporters and Suppliers.

Developed Shell Scripts for the various modules of the project.
