developed the FAA National Airspace Communications Network architecture using new

- Analyzed the FAA Interfacility Communications Network performance using OPNET
network simulation program.
- Designed alternate network architecture and performed link budget analysis to
replace the FAA nationwide analog Radio Communications Link with GEO satellite

Responsible for technical analysis (System Testing) of telecommunications
transmission and switching equipment from various manufacturers to determine
whether the equipment was designed according to Bellcore requirements and
industry standards (e.g. ANSI T1X1 or ITU-T standards).
- Developed a set of system design criteria that needed to be tested by
researching into the technologies used in the technical analysis T1/T3, ATM,
Frame Relay, Synchronous Optical Network (SONET) and network synchronization.
- creatted the test procedures by analyzing the design of the telecommunications
equipment.
- Tested Frame Relay packet switching system (StrataCom IPX), T3 Digital
Multiplex, Timing Signal Generator, Digital Crossconnect System and T1
Intelligent Multiplex in a laboratory using various telecommunications test
equipment.
- Developed design requirements for Timing Signal Generator and Digital
Crossconnect System.

1986 - 1987, Member of Technical Staff, RCA SOLID STATE DIVISION, Somerville, NJ
Designed CMOS Macrocells and Integrated Circuits. Work included schematics entry
and netlist generation using Mentor CAD system, logic simulation using MIMIC
logic simulator, hierarchical SPICE netlist generation and simulation, Layout
Versus Schematic check and Design Rule check using ECAD, MP2D and VITAL layout
programs were used to layout Macrocells and the entire integrated circuit.
1985 - 1986, Design Engineer, NUMERIX CORPORATION, Newton, MA
Designed and tested the communication interface between the Numerix NMX-332
array processor and the PDP-11 Q-bus using TTL LSI and MSI chips, PAL and PROM.
DAISY was the CAD system used for schematic entry and netlist generation. The
communication interface consisted of a format converter, DMA controller, shared
memory access control logic, Q-bus interface logic and the high speed interface
logic of the NMX array processor.
1985 - 1985, Design Engineer, HORIZON RESEARCH, INC., Waltham, MA
Designed the main memory for IBM 370 series compatible machine using ECL gate
array and 256K DRAM. VALID CAD system was used extensively for graphic input,
logic simulation and timing verification.
1983 - 1984, Engineer, DIGITAL EQUIPMENT CORPORATION, Shrewsbury, MA
Designed VAX memory array and memory tester using 256K DRAM, TTL logic, ECL
logic and VLSI gate arrays. HILO and VALID were the CAD tools used for schematic
entry, logic simulation and timing verification.
