1) Responsible for the design and build of ETL ('Extract/Transform/Load') and
conversion components.
Primary steps involved are :
Legacy system extract Cranberry and SQL* Loader were used to extract data.
Establishing reference data - default, valid, and cross reference values - and
transforming data into a pre-load staging area.
As the data is transformed, exceptions are captured. Analysis of the
exceptions along with continual data quality assessment are used to rapidly cycle
data, improving it with each run until it is ready to load in the target system
(SAP) Extensive use of database procedures/functions to validate data.
Data improvement is assessed via use of data quality tools. Finally auditing
support information is provided before passing the data on to the target system.
2) Responsible for maintaining Cross reference data between legacy applications
and SAP for GL Balances and Project Planned Cost. Developed a interface to map
Oracle legacy GL Code combination to SAP Code combination.
Discoverer reports were developed to view Oracle staging data.
3) Was also part of Technical team required for TPM Sales reporting ODS
within Teradata for the latest release.
As part of this initiative various interfaces were developed to populate master
data for various attributes required for Sales reporting .
Informatica was used to load the inbound tables.
BTEQ scripts were used for performing validation.

AV - Monthly GL feed - Provides the facility to feed monthly balances into
Oracle General Ledger R10.7 - AV maintains their day-to day transactions in BPCS
(Oracle database). At month-end AVCO needs to extracts all its balances into a
flat file in the required format and send to Oracle General Ledger R10.7. Once
oracle gets the flat file it will validate the data and populate these balances
into GL_INTERFACE and then kick off the Oracle standard Journal Import program.
This Interface program was scheduled monthly.
