QUALIFICATIONS, PROFILE, & KEY ACHIEVEMENTS
B-2 Program
Started in the H/W department, then switched over to the S/W department.
Excelled in the support of the Radar Data Processor unit within the B-2 radar.
Implemented a procedure that cleared the radar memory of classified code that
processed sensitive radar information. Created data reduction software for use
at multiple test sites (integration lab and flight test location off site) that
accessed radar flight data and displayed legible results for test analysts.
Efficiently led effort of Flight Management Processor Simulator (FMPS) task,
which made changes to support a new software mode using GPS.
PROFESSIONAL BUSINESS EXPERIENCE
Raytheon Systems Company – El Segundo CA 1984 - Present
Raytheon is a company that provides service in the commercial arena as well as
the government arena. The main business in the government field is providing
radars for airplanes and ships.
Current position is a Senior Multi-Discipline Systems Engineering II within the
Software Engineering Center.
Member of the Technical Staff & Systems Engineer (1985 – 2000)
• Placed in charge of integration and verification of the Radar Data Processor
(RDP) within the B-2 radar and all supporting equipment of the RDP. Increased
in troubleshooting task of the RDP from module level to component level as
personnel decreased on program.
• Specialized in the knowledge and functionality of instrumentation modules
within the RDP, which allowed for proper troubleshooting of modules when failed,
and quit repair of module.
• Successfully provided support for the Flight Management Processor Simulator,
which acted as the mission controller for the Radar in the labs.
• Effective in the creation and maintaining of flight test data reduction
program, which provided tremendous support for the B-2 program. Analysts used
program results to determine the Built In Tests (BIT) that failed as well as
created other graphing tools that provided quality stats.
• Successful in the design and implementation of software that transferred data
between soft monitor panels on the Long Term Software Support (LTSS) program
under B-2. Wrote software that used sockets (TCP/IP) in the data transfer
between monitor panels. Software was written to operate on three different
operating systems (HP-1000, VxWorks, and Unix).
Multi-Discipline Systems Engineering (2001 – Present)
• Functioning on the Built In Test (BIT) mode team on the F-18 APG79 radar
• Productive on the BIT team in writing and the presentation of the Preliminary
Design Review and Detailed Design Review
• Integral in the knowledge and the production of software code on the Radar
Interface Module (RIF) within the F-18 APG79 radar. The RIF is the module that
interfaces between the Mission Computer and the rest of the radar. Tasks has
functionality that supported displays, testing the integrity of radar, data
storage, system control in the power up and power down procedures, and
instrumentation to the outside.
• Achieve numerous team excellence awards for the integration and test of BIT
and mode independent software on the RIF, which showed excellence in areas such
as timely code deliveries or support off site.
