PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Embedded Systems Engineer, Server Technology, Reno, NV	May 2007 - Present
Hired primarily as an embedded systems engineer and power system development
engineer. Assisted upgrade of system to accommodate new processor. Primarily a
systems engineer with heavy accent on systems, protocols and testing. Key
engineer in power measurement design and implementation of single and three phase
power systems.

Key Achievements: 
•	Completed conversion of I2C protocol in 2 weeks to new product.
•	Aided in ASIC design which was used for an I2C multiplexor..
•	Headed embedded side of new power measurement and management system, including
the creation of a patented technology for power measurement and maintenance.
•	Created Windows testing application to test power measurement project and aid
testing group in implementing a calibration procedure for production and
testing.
•	Aided in upgrade of ARM7 core processor to ARM9 processor.
•	Implemented core SPI protocol and testing application.
•	Implemented interface application to two separate reference meters used for
calibration and used those interfaces to the meters to help calibrate various

apparent power and account for phase angle differences in different loads, while
adjusting for temperature variations. All of this was done in an 8051 using
common ADC, timer, and interrupt implementations.

Firmware Engineer IV, International Gaming Technology, Reno, NV	2002 – May 2007
Recruited and subsequently promoted to serve on small team tasked with
streamlining operations and increasing productivity for firmware development
supporting proprietary advanced video platform gaming system. Spearhead and
participate in full software development  lifecycle activities for
next-generation games, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary business and
technical units throughout requirements definition, needs analysis, design and
architecture, programming, and hardware integration. Coordinate and oversee
activities of cross-functional project groups, preparing and delivering status
reports for all group efforts. Perform systems and firmware engineering duties in
robust embedded 3-D graphic environment utilizing proprietary development
language, C/C++, and numerous graphics, 3-D, and hardware/software testing tools.
