EXPERIENCE

On-Site Technical Specialist, Business Owner
Involved organizing travel time with precision to be on time at jobs
varying from 1 mile to 400 miles in distance, then resolving with success a wide
assortment of hardware, software, Internet connectivity and networking issues on
Microsoft Windows and Macintosh platforms while on-site. Also involved lots of
technical support via telephone.
In addition leadership skills were needed for training clients and
managing inexperienced technicians on many assignments. People skills,
perseverance, patience and a large knowledge about business, sales, computer and
networking concepts, practices and procedures were also necessary.
1997–1999 CROSSMARK West Plano, Texas
PC Support Technician/Team Leader
Entailed installation/support of Microsoft and corporate software.
Also, troubleshooting and repairing desktops and Compaq and Dell laptops.
Additionally, generated/maintained network user and group accounts for
Microsoft NT 4.0, Exchange Server 5.5 and Remote Access Server. Also monitored
system backups and resolved network/connectivity problems.
Implemented Asset Insight, a program that manages distributed assets,
provides current/historical configuration information and helps plan major
enterprise upgrades.
Also included daily, weekly and monthly departmental reports, Internet
researching for software/hardware solutions for the company, keeping employees
educated about the various software packages and managing the part-time and
student technicians.

Secretary/Office Manager
Entailed Accounts Receivable/Payable, taxes, setting up the inventory
on computers and inputting all the data. Also worked with various daily, weekly
and monthly reports and correspondence.
Additionally had to keep the crew of air conditioning, heating and spa
technicians and subcontractors organized for the various daily jobs.
Also was responsible for dealing with the public and counter sales of
the various components, tools and products.
