Next-generation GUI, COM APIs (C++, Java)
•	The main product is a USB based debugger that is used to evaluate the post
power on silicon. This project is targeted for developing and testing a next
generation GUI for a debugger based on the Microsoft’s VSIP (Visual Studio
Industry Partner) program.
•	Designed and developed in C++ (under Visual Studio .NET) breakpoints, source,
disassembly, memory and register windows for a debugger. The output of the
project is the availability of a stand-alone debugger who’s GUI is similar to the
Microsoft debugging environment.
•	Developed a set command line instructions that can be executed by user to
evaluate several areas in the silicon. These instructions can be used
individually or can be built as a script and then executed.
•	Developed user interacting applications in VB where the commands and it’s
corresponding entries are provided to user at a click. This would save the time
spent on compiling an error free script.
•	Developed HTML based, web enabled help files with embedded JavaScript in them.
These help files provide the commands list, syntax, usage, and examples.
•	Developed and tested a set of COM based APIs, which lets the application
developers write up their programs using the APIs to communicate to the debugger
hardware.
•	Developed and tested COM based callback application, which allows an
application to register for an event and continue with its job. The callback
program would issue an interrupt when the registered event has occurred.

Linux Driver and C++ APIs:
•	Managed a build and automated regression of the Linux driver and basic
software framework. Around this framework user will be able to construct his own
APIs, GUIs.

Role: Technical consultant
Site: Dupont, WA (Dec 2001 – Dec 2002, June 2003 - June 2004)

	C++\Java application
•	Developed a C++ application to provide user a way to monitor a server or fleet
of servers’ health locally or remotely. The application was built around the
Microsoft WMI (Windows Management Interface) APIs.
•	This would retrieve the system and hardware information to populate several
fields that indicate server health. This information includes voltage,
temperature sensor readings, memory availability, PCI bus availability and so
on.
•	This application would interact with a XML plug in through WMI CIMOM.
•	Developed windows scripts to test the retrieval of the system information
using WMI and VBScript. WSH is used to execute these scripts for automated
testing.
•	The application was re written in JAVA to enable the same application support
more than just windows servers. This application used SNIA CIMOM to communicate
from the Java program to a XML script.
•	Developed XML plug in to support the remote monitoring. CIMOM would generate
XML scripts, which are transmitted to the system where the application runs. The
C++\Java application would interpret the XML script to generate the input to
lower layers.

	Linux USB driver
•	Developed a Linux USB driver for a debugging tool used during post silicon
validation phase.
•	Developed and maintained Shell & Perl scripts to build and run regressions on
the software.
•	Managed a Linux network of three systems which are hooked to various platforms
on which regression tests are executed

	Linux, Windows Drivers & porting
•	Developed Linux 32bit IPMI (Intelligent Platform Management Interface) to work
with C++\Java application that monitors the server health locally and remotely.
•	Ported the Linux driver from 32 to 64 bit.
•	Developed scripts to build the drivers for 32bit and 64bit environments and
load.
•	Developed a PCI driver for windows based on the WDM for windows .NET (64bit).

	SKILLS:
•	Borland C++, Java, RSA, DSA, DES algorithms.
•	Visual studio 6.0, Windows NT

	Role: Programmer Analyst
C++\Java application for postage meters and mailing systems
•	Developed C++ applications under windows to provide secure transactions for
the small business postage meters and mailing systems.
•	A similar application was developed in Java to support multiple platforms.
This also came with a GUI for the user making the application interactive.
•	Developed and verified RSA, DSA signatures and DES keys as part of the secure
transactions development.

	Philips Software Center, Bangalore, India
	May 1999 - Nov 2000
	SKILLS:
•	C, C++, VB, CMX, ETS (European Telecommunication Standards), Driver
development skills.

	Role: Software Engineer
	Real time Television software development
•	Developed C++ applications that would acquire, interpret the teletext packets
from transmission signals and display teletext pages.
•	Developed VB application that displays the menus and subtitles.
•	Developed display drivers that deal with the pixel-by-pixel display on
screen.
•	Exposed to handling, storing and retrieval of large data that is decoded from
the transmission signals.
