WORK & RESEARCH EXPERIENCES
Research Assistant at Computer Architecture and Network Research Group,
Binghamton Univ. 02/2009 – Present
Modern Multi-Core Web Server Analysis and Simulation. Responsible for simulating
a new cache structure by modifying a C/C++ based cycle accurate x86
microprocessor simulator–PTLsim. Tested it by Benchmark SPEC 2000 in Xen running
on UNIX clusters.
Research Assistant at Hardware Laboratory of CS Department, Beijing
Jiaotong Univ. 06/2007 – 05/2008
In charge of the pipelining process designing; Responsible for designing a
simple pipeline structure of CPU by using Quartus II tool on Windows OS and
programming with C in Verilog. Compiled and ran on an Altera Nios II chip.
Other Projects Experience in CS Department, Binghamton Univ.
09/2008-11/2009
Designed a simple XML parser in C++ with knowledge of Object-Oriented
Programming in Linux.
Designed a Peer to Peer System with multi-thread programming using C++,
P-threads, and knowledge of Distribute System in Unix clusters.
Use a Java compiler extension --polyglot to support atomic programming
and thread level concurrency in Java.
Internship in Beijing TaiJi Company. 02/2008-05/2008
Built an embed system for a new platform of experimental class of Principle of
Computer Composition in Beijing JiaoTong Univ supported by TaiJi Company. Take
the responsibility of designing printed circuit board with software Protel 99 and
jointing electrical components. Developed a simple test tool of C program in
Verilog and Quartus II.
