Develop and support multiple projects for a number of different business
units, utilizing COBOL, CICS, DB2, IMS DB, VSAM and JCL. Document full project
lifecycles utilizing Plan View, PTS (Project Tracking System) and SDLC-W. Work
closely with clients, developing specifications for new software while supporting
their daily business needs
Systems supported are the Finance Position System (FPS) and Finance Accounting
System (FAS). FPS is one of Citigroups critical systems, providing maintenance
and reporting on start-of-day financing positions as well as projected future
positions. FAS is a large on-line/batch system, accepting trades in real time,
handling interest accruals and G/L postings, and generating numerous financing
reports.
Some development highlights are for high-priority projects:
o BASEL II compliant FAS data feed for the Government.
o US Treasury Concentration reports and US Treasury Fails report.
o US Treasury Antitrust Report a federal mandated report application providing
eight different views for trading positions at the end of a business day. This
required daily feed from over 50 worldwide systems.
o Developed mainframe to e-mail alerts for various warning conditions.
o FAS to General Ledger (GL) reconciliation process for Smith Barney daily
activities.
o Financing Adjustment Reports to provide enhanced, comprehensive reporting of
financing adjustments.
o CICS Front-End Maintenance and Audit System to maintain critical DB2 data in
real time (system enhancement).
1997 - 2000 CENDANT IT/ AVIS Rent-A-Car System, Inc (Garden City, NY)
Programmer/Analyst
Provided technical experience in the development and support of various
projects for AVIS Rent A-Car through Cendant IT. Responsibilities included
communicating with clients, analysis, design, preparation of pre and post project
documentation, coding, testing, implementation and support of over a dozen
full-scale applications and numerous minor developments, enhancements for Cendant
Corporation. Some of these projects were:
o Participated in Full Project Life Cycle of Location Data Base Project. This
LDB Project provided AVIS with the ability to monitor multiple locations
simultaneously. Provided 24/7 support.
o Participated in the Full Manifest Redesign Project. Manifest is a worldwide
(24/7) on-line system that creates and keeps track of all reservations one of
the critical system for AVIS. Designed, developed and implemented six different
on-line Manifests Systems utilizing COBOLII, IMS/DC, DB2.
o Worked on enhancing all 28 on-line Manifest systems independently. Played a
key role in identifying a viable approach that would allow multiple manifest
screen prints in one transaction. Received a Cendant Recognition Award for this
project.
o Participated in the Y2K Conversion Project.
o In first 9 months received early promotion from Junior Programmer to
Programmer/Analyst

Design Engineer
Initially worked as telecommunications engineer, later promoted to Chief
Engineer of a satellite communications station in one of the labs. Supervised a
staff of three lab technicians.
Researched ways of troubleshooting and emergency repair on space
communications stations by Signature Analysis Method.
Worked on development of a new algorithm for locating earth satellites.
Possess a patent for calculating Satellite Location by Way of Square Expansion.
Utilized PL/I and BASIC programming languages for algorithm calculation.
