EXPERIENCE:
Rockwell Collins/NLX, Binghamton, NY; 01/01 to 11/09
Sr. Software Engineer/System Engineer/Architect/Information Technology: I was
central to the prototype development of the F16 aircraft and Striker Army Ground
Vehicle maintenance trainer from concept phase to delivery. Developed
requirements based upon customer’s technical manuals, from which system
requirements were generated. Based on this a new technology was developed using
Microsoft Access as the database engine behind the photo software. On the F16 I
was the lead architect in charge of Environmental Systems. On the Ground Vehicle
systems I was the lead architect in charge of Electrical System, Brakes, and
Fault reporting. I utilized an electrical circuit fault database for circuit
connectivity. I was able to complete the job with little technical direction. I
had extensive customer interaction. I maintained team productivity within an
aggressive schedule.
I participated as a CMMI appraiser for system level III for the Binghamton and
Virginia sites. I have completed the requirements by the Software Engineering
Institute to be a SEI-Authorized software model appraiser.
In the Tactics department I was a software engineer in the development of the
Radar/Sensors system on the OH58 helicopter. I was part of the team to simulate
the components of the Radar system.
In the System Integration department I completed simulator coldstart procedures
on a variety of platforms. This included: complete software (with some hardware)
installations, Linux, C, and C++ programming, database setup, TCP/IP, and
testing. I also worked with 1553, ARNIC 429, and ARNIC 717 interfaces.
In the Avionics departments I worked on the CMHP helicopter, in which I was
responsible for simulation of many LRUs: MFDs, FMCDUs, SFDR, DCUs, etcs.
Symtx, Binghamton, NY; 10/99 – 2/01
Senior Engineer: I was the lead engineer on a team that designed systems tests
on silicon wafers using specialized test equipment. I used Microsoft Visual Basic
and Labview languages. I used Microsoft Access as the database to hold
information specific data ranges. I was involved in proposals and had extensive
customer interaction.
Hughes/Raytheon, Binghamton, NY; 9/96 – 10/99
Software Engineer: Maintained part of the Radar Simulations on the B2 program.
I used Ada as the implementation language. I was responsible for the common
software that was used by other B2 systems.
Computer Resource Group (Self-employed), Binghamton, NY; 9/94 – 9/96
Network Consultant, System Engineer: Maintained Novell Networks for several
local businesses. Performed general Information Technologies (IT) tasks:
Computer station setup and maintenance, running wire drops, server maintenance
and hardware/software modifications. As a consultant task I designed code in
Visual Basic and C++ for automotive repair simulations in a startup company.
Computer Science Corporation, Owego, NY; 1/90 – 9/94
Senior Member of Technical Staff: I wrote software for real-time threat
analysis on systems for the B2 program at IBM. Additionally, I wrote software
for the Real-Time Artificial Intelligence System (RTAIS). Designed prototype Ada
code that implemented a mission planning and real-time analysis event situation
code.
Singer Link, Binghamton, NY; 10/83 – 1/90
Software Engineer and Principal Investigator: Performed system analysis, code
and test on tactical aircraft systems; database maintenance and design on
computer systems. Lead System Engineer in the development of Requirement
Traceability Tools using an SQL database. Coded low level Basic routines in C
and Ada that interfaced with low level Unix operating system commands. Utilized
YACC and Lex to parse complex alpha data. Authored paper on voice activated IOS
station.
