February, 2008 - present - Web Strategist/Videographer - Nader for President
2008

Web Designer / Producer / Online Promotions / Online fundraiser / Mass Online
Communications / Videographer / Video Editor for Ralph Nader's 2008 Presidential
Campaign.
Sites: http://www.votenader.org and http://www.youtube.com/votenader08

I am a member of a small web team on the national campaign staff and have
performed a wide variety of functions during my time with the campaign. In the
early days of the campaign, I was primarily responsible for maintaining pages on
the web site, posting blogs, and sending out mass html email communications to a
list of over 50,000 people. I also establilshed and designed the campaign's
presence on social networks, including MySpace, Facebook, Flickr and YouTube.

As the campaign moved forward, priority status was given to YouTube. I was then
moved to full-time video responsbilities, which include managing the YouTube
site, creating original works from archived material, creating original music
videos for the campaign, creating original videos of the candidate from material
that I shot using professional-quality video equipment, and creating an original
interactive YouTube video scripted jointly with Ralph Nader. During my time
creating videos for the campaign, I have created approximately original 65 videos
and will continue to create new videos from now until the November 4 election.
Also of note, our YouTube channel views started at zero in February, and now top
one million.

The web team that I am a member of has raised approximately $3 million online
for Ralph Nader since he announced his candidacy in February, 2008.

On the campaign I use the Adobe suite of products, including Dreamweaver, Flash,
Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, Premiere Pro, and After Effects. Our
web site is done in the CMS Bricolage.

Mac. The videos I made have been watched hundreds of thousands of times online

June 1, 2003 - May 31, 2004 - Webmaster/National Technology Coordinator,
Kucinich for President campaign

As Webmaster for a "grass roots" national presidential campaign, I was exposed
to a very wide variety of duties. We were operating a full scale national
presidential campaign on a very low budget, which requires being highly creative
in the use of our limited resources. The position required extensive hours, some
hours were worked in the Cleveland headquarters; most hours were worked from my
home office in Akron, Ohio.

My duties included:

•	Production direction of various campaign videos. Occasionally traveled with
candidate as staff videographer.
•	Bottom line accountability for the appearance and content of the website,
kucinich.us
•	Coordination of the web team which includes web developers, virtual outreach
personnel, multimedia experts, and graphic artists, both employees and
volunteers.
•	Managed and was responsible for 80,000+ person email list, and routinely wrote
correspondence to this list
•	Hands on graphic design of many website elements - supervision of the overall
look and feel of the site.
•	Photo retouching of photos to be used by the media and to be viewed by the
general public & digital photography of the candidate.
•	Interfacing directly with the campaign manager, the candidate, and the finance
director to plan and execute online fundraising efforts. We raised more than $3
million in online contributions, most in contributions of $100 or less. My
"Adopt-An-Intern" idea alone paid for a steady supply of campaign interns which
were a large part of our workforce.
•	Interfacing directly on a continual basis with campaign media experts such as
former MSNBC correspondent Jeff Cohen and activist David Swanson to make sure
their communications were expeditiously distributed online by publishing them on
the web and by working with them to create and send mass emails.
•	Creation of a campaign store and marketing of campaign items in the store.
•	Light php, heavy html using Dreamweaver
•	Manage/troubleshoot Blackberry units

See the addendum to this resume for more details specific to my presidential
campaign experience.
