Apprentice Optician


July 2008- Present  Sears Optical, Marion Ohio 43302


I’m an apprentice optician working at Sears Optical at the Southland Mall.My job
duties consist of; entering data of customers into our new software,filing
charts, pulling charts, calling customers, answering phone, taking messages,
sending fax, making appointments for our customers with others opticians.

I had to oversee product as it came off the line to be packaged. Helped
employees work as a team; I had thirteen to nineteen employees under me that I
worked with, made sure they had materials for the product that we were building.
Worked in different areas of the shop, finagling, consoles, tops, fanhousing.
Drove stand-up forklift. Helped out in assembly when needed. 

 
	Machine Operator


 May 1994-October 2003, Parker Hannifin Corp.

Operated different types of machinery that made, tested and packaged high and
low pressure hoses. Read different types of spec sheet to make the different
types of hose. Also drove tow motors to move the product around, and entered
information into computer like quantity and spec a daily bases. (Did inventory at
machine everyday).
 

	   Supervisor


Aug. 1991—May 1994, Golden Valley Microwave Foods , Marion, Ohio 43302

Supervisor of fourth shift. I had to meet quotas of the product that had to be
run. Over ten to thirteen employees safety, production, materials etc.  Would
occasionally work on the line when we had a lot of walk outs. Learned how to
operate all the machinery on the floor. Responsible for all product, quality, and
employees on that shift. Started out as a packer and worked my way up.

I was hired in as a packer which my responsibilities were to pack the product as
fast as I could, check each bag for defects and proper packages.

Certificate, Applied Business of Office Information, Marion Technical College,
working on Associate Degree of Applied Business of Office Information.
Anticipation of graduation in near future.


	Other Experience

Over 1 year Filing & Charting, Making appointment, Data Entry, Answering Phone,
Calling Patients, Faxing, Dispensing product   to customer. Over ten years of
factory experience. three years Leadership experience, two years of supervision.
Experience in replenishing shelves and admitting patients in the hospital.
Enjoy working in office, meeting new people, helping others.

	Volunteer Work

When I attended Marion Technical College I also helped out at WIC office putting
in information into computer, ran copier, sent out reminders, and filed. I still
help out at Ridgedale Elementary School in the kindergarten classes. I also
helped out Harding School for adults; I did evening classes and taught them how
to make different things.
