•	Designed a new well-structured, yet flexible, partner architecture, to handle
injection of code, JSPs, and more for changing the partner's functionality at any
tier.  This architecture was spread to other groups and systems around the
company.
•	Led team of 10 or more developers on multiple projects and systems at the same
time. Coordinated efforts with other technical and business groups to facilitate
completion of the projects.  Instituted consistent documentation and unit testing
practices.
•	Worked on credit and loan web application systems handling a significant
percentage of the company's revenue.  Build on IBM technologies such as
Websphere, DB2, ClearCase and RAD. Used SOA, JMS, Tibco, LDAP calls, and stored
procedure calls to integrate to back end systems.
•	Other  technologies were Javascript and DHTML, JSPs, Struts, Tiles, Commons
Validator, Spring and associated technologies, Velocity (for processing of macros
sent from other systems), Ant, JUnit, Bad Boy (for web based regression testing),

•	Designed and implemented entirely new layered, web-based architecture using
the latest Java/JEE technologies to meet the company’s current needs and replace
the legacy system.  The architecture was based on Tapestry, Spring and Hibernate,
using Spring AOP and AspectJ to weave in services like logging, transaction
management, and Hibernate session usability.
•	Guided the development team into the use of test-driven development and other
Agile processes to improve their development process and habits, and source
repositories and continuous integration to improve their deployment process. 
These include JUnit, Subversion, and structured builds.
•	Developed billing systems, payment services (integration to Paypal and
Authorize.Net), and web service integration (SOA) with a third party fulfillment
house, a third party shipping consolidator, and an ERP system using JMS
(messaging), Quartz (scheduling), JEE 5, Spring and Hibernate.  
•	Designed and developed order processing, inventory monitoring, sales tracking,
fulfillment and other reports and queries.  Handled all data processing,
validation, and cleanup (there was no DBA).  Used a MySQL database.

•	Designed and developed InFocus performance management/business
intelligence/business improvement web portal infrastructure for the Hilton
properties and organizational units, including inputting, tracking, and reporting
for thousands of separate measurements, business planning, team member bonuses
and awards, project management, and process improvement.
•	Worked on requirements and design with customers at all business levels.

•	Built multi-tier Java web application architecture from the ground up using
open-source technologies such as Tomcat, JBoss, Struts, Ant, Log4J, JSP,
servlets, DAOs, and other Java/J2EE technologies.  Uses SQL Server databases
(with stored procedures and triggers) on NT servers, as well as XML and XSLT for
generating multiple views (i.e. HTML, Flash, PDF) of data.
