Greetings,

My name is Brian O’Connell and I'm a Doylestown, Pennsylvania-based freelance
writer with 15 years experience covering business news and trends, particularly
in the financial, health and sciences, Internet and technology, political and
career management sectors. As an author who’s placed two business books in "The
Book of the Month Club" and whose byline has appeared in dozens of top-tier
national business publications, I'd like to present my credentials as a writer
and/or editor for your company. For writing samples, please visit my web site
at: www.brianoc.com.

Currently, I operate a freelance writing business, working on books, corporate
copy writing projects and magazine articles for a variety of clients. Bylines
include Forbes, The Street.com, The Chicago Tribune, American Baby,
HealthLeaders, About Health, Biopharm International, Registered Representative,
The Wall Street Journal, Computer User, Newsweek, Cigar Magazine, CBS Sportsline,
Men’s Health, Philadelphia Magazine, USA Weekend, Smart Business, Bloomberg
Wealth Advisor, CBS News Market Watch, Entrepreneur Magazine, Business 2.0, and
many others. I also teach a freelance writing class at The University of
Pennsylvania and I’m the co-founder of Writers Corner USA, a writers’ teaching
and training institute.

I have authored 14 books, including two "Book of the Month Club" selections: The
401(k) Millionaire (Random House) and CNBC's Creating Wealth (John Wiley & Sons).
I’m the co-author of the upcoming 2008 book Wrapped in Blue: Mothers & Sons. My
most recent books, The Complete Idiots Guide to Dream Jobs and The Everything
Investing Guide were released in the summer of 2005. Prior to that, Free
Yourself From Student Loan Debt (Dearborn Press) was released in May, 2004. My
books have been reviewed favorably by The New York Daily New, Business Week,
Forbes and CBS News Marketwatch, among others.

In addition, I have appeared as an expert commentator on business issues on CNN,
Fox News, CNBC, C-Span, Bloomberg, The LA Times, and other media outlets. I have
also written web content, speeches, press releases, white papers, scripts and
other marketing and promotional copy for brand name companies like The Vanguard
Group, AARP, Putnam Investments, Lexmark International, EMC Corp., Fidelity
Investments, Bank of America, and many others.

My background on the Philadelphia Stock Exchange in the 1980's and on the fixed
income-trading desk of Delaware Funds as a bond trader also provides me with a
unique slant on business and political issues. As senior editor at DEC
Professional magazine and contributing writer at LAN Computing magazine from
1989-1994, I covered the high technology sector in-depth, writing numerous
articles and attending many seminars, trade shows and product demonstrations
devoted to the industry. I also wrote frequently and effectively on the
standards, tools and platforms that laid the foundation for the growth of
technology in the 21st century.

As a volunteer grade school newspaper editor for Kutz Elementary School in
Doylestown, I work with students to produce The Kutz Chronicle, the school’s
quarterly news publication. In my capacity as the co-founder and writing
instructor at the Writers Corner USA, in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, I also conduct
writing and editing seminars for members of the community, including many
professionals looking to improve their writing skills.

Thanks in advance for considering me. If you have any questions, please don't
hesitate to e-mail ([Send email using form at bottom]) or call (# [Send email to request phone number] 30-1070 or
