January 2002 – Present: Senior Analyst, TimBar Packaging & Display, Hanover, PA
I am the primary person responsible for data transformation in general at
TimBar, and for nearly all EDI X.12 translation development. Our philosophy is to
give each Business Partner exactly what they need when we send them data, and
accept and work with any format they send us. To that end I design and develop a
unique translator per transaction type per business partner. My philosophy is
platform agnostic. Systems I have developed communicate with Windows desktops,
Windows SQL servers, Linux servers, AS/400 i5 servers, FTP servers, Sterling
Commerce VAN servers, and OB10 Electronic Invoicing servers.

TimBar is self-insured and self funded for group health insurance. We maintain
an internal database of employees and their dependents, payroll deductions, and
coverages for Medical, Dental, Vision, Medical FSA, and Dependent Care FSA.  I
designed this system and did most of the development work.

We contract with NCAS Pennsylvania for TPA services. Five nights per week we
extract coverage data and transmit it via FTP to Health Axis, from where it is
made available to NCAS. We send about 8,000 records per transmission. I designed
and developed this entire extraction, translation, and transmission system
working with both Health Axis and NCAS personnel.

I have strong problem solving skills and many years experience designing complex
solutions, and leading others on a team.

I have also worked with membership management systems for a health insurance
Third Party Administrator, and membership management in general.

I also have a good foundation in working with financial accounting systems.

I have designed, developed, marketed, sold, installed and supported commercial
grade software; taught software demonstration techniques to sales professionals,
and had extensive training in consultative sales.

My command of language is excellent and I have very good interpersonal skills.

I have experience with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, and Microsoft
Office 2000, 2003, and most recently 2007 using Word, Excel, Visio, and Outlook.
I have also used FileZilla FTP client, Network File Monitor Professional, IBS
Integrator, and Numara Track-It! Version 8.
