SUMMARY:
An experienced Programmer/Developer/Analyst with a proven track record and very
good business and problem solving skills. A detail and deadline oriented

Worked on the business side for one year of a Personal Lines Insurance policy
issuance and inquiry, enterprise application on which I performed enhancements,
development, and maintenance. The application has a GUI front-end and is
primarily a Mainframe system.
Performed research, analysis, and writing of technical requirements in the
Implementation of system changes/enhancements/upgrades and in the resolution of
production problems working as a member of twelve-person project team.

Taught several one-day classes which typically was a mixture of twenty-five
people from the Business and I/T Unit including Programmers, Quality Assurance
Testers, and Project Analysts. The material was technical in nature but presented
in a user-friendly format for the various audience types and levels in
attendance.
I have had an intense exposure to the mainframe programming environment and some
exposure to the PC programming environment. Most of my daily experience in
programming languages consists of COBOL, IMS, TELON, MVS/JCL, TSO/ISPF, VSAM and
Smalltalk. I have had some limited on the job exposure and training in DB2/SQL,
MQ Series, CICS, IDCAMS, and SYNCSORT.
Tools that I used on a daily basis are Expediter 6.6, Visual Age 4.02 for
Smalltalk, TMF, ZEKE, and limited exposure to Microfocus COBOL/CICS. The Hardware
that I use on a daily basis consists of : IBM 3090, MVS/ESA, IBM Compatible PCs.
Trained in PC based DOS 6.2. Also, I am familiar with Windows 3.1/95/98/NT 4/XP
and OS2 operating systems.
I have formal training and some limited experience in Microsoft Project.
Extensive use of Microsoft Word on a daily basis, occasional use of Microsoft
PowerPoint and Excel.

Worked on a Personal Lines Insurance project team supporting an Object-Oriented
GUI Input system and Mainframe Batch and Print system using Cobol, IMS Databases,
Telon for Online Inquiry and Halipi Screen Scraping, TSO, Zeke, and JCL.
Researched, designed, coded new batch and on-line Cobol modules for a new
marketing letter process and provided detailed departmental documentation for
