worldwide in a variety of applications including vending, casino gaming,
self-checkout terminal, and public transit systems applications.
Provided business-wide leadership for new product introductions, project
management and business process improvements to drive operational excellence
across global sites by leading key initiatives including:

• New Product Development – Successfully lead teams in the development and
launch of  3 high volume products.  Chief liaison between engineering, purchasing
/ vendors, production, quality, and test engineering in transitioning products
from the engineering concepts stages through to high volume production.  

• Project Management - Project transitioned MEI business enterprise ERP system
from ManMan MRP to SAP.  Launched SAP on time, 245 days after project start
across 5 sites globally on same day without interruption to business processes. 
Recognition award received from Mars, Inc. for “Excellence In Project
Management”.

• Manage Program Office by facilitating the scoping process for key strategic
and tactical business initiatives and conducting monthly reviews.  Reported
monthly status on the initiatives and identified potential risks and
opportunities. 

• Business Process Improvements - Identified opportunities where global business
process efficiency gains could be realized.  Coordinated resources to develop
process maps, document redefined processes, and introduce improved processes
globally.

• Capital Investment Budget Management - Managed the development and execution
of the business-wide $6MM annual capital appropriations budget for new product
investments.  Provided quarterly reports on spend vs. plan.  Administrated the
internal capital investment approval process including policies, project
approvals, and project budgets / spending.

• Warranty Cost Improvement – Drove significant improvements in the warranty
claims process by working with our Approved Service Centers (ASC) and key
customers. Changes included redefining the warranty claims process, budgeting,
and reporting process.  Warranty costs were reduced by an annualized $1MM.

Mars Electronics International, West Chester, PA 

• Liaised with the product development teams to bring new products from the
concept stage through to high volume manufacturing.  Scope included FMEAs,
DFMEAs, process design, and supplier interface, quality plans, visual aids, and
training.  Successfully launched the 2 highest selling bill validators within
specific market industries.

• Managed the Test Engineering department consisting of 6 associates. 
Responsibility included daily support for all test processes and equipment in
production. 

• Managed the Operations Engineering department consisting of 4 associates with
responsibilities for daily production support.  Using root cause analysis, and
other methodology, responsibilities included cost reduction, methods savings, and
quality improvements.

manufacturing processes including the transition of MEI’s printed circuit board
