EXPERIENCE
 	Software Engineer	August 2008 - Present
 	Pennsylvania State University
•	Responsible for incorporating DocFinity’s proprietary image management system
into the PRAMS system to allow document upload to all users via a WebService. 
The integration was essential for the PRAMS eSubmission solution and eliminated
the need for dedicated scanning stations.
•	Created a WebService tool to convert Html and Rtf files to PDF.
•	Participated in the usability testing of eSubmissions for the PRAMS software
to help eliminate future problems with PRMAS users.
•	Currently working on redeveloping the PRAMS system from Visual FoxPro to the
.NET environment.  This effort will bring PRAMS in line with ORIS’s current
development tools and eliminate the need of supporting multiple development
environments.
 	Software Engineer	June 2007 – May 2008
 	Optical Image Technology
•	Software Developer on the Professional Services team implementing customer
specific applications into our current system.  All the specialized programming
projects are implemented in C Sharp using the .NET framework.
•	Created scanning software to allow users to scan multiple files, using either
a Kofax or a Twain scanner, that would automatically index and store the
documents.
•	Developed a program that would select information from a third party software,
parse and extract the important information, and automatically create barcodes to
be stored in the database.  This functionality was available to the user via a
predefined hotkey. 
 	Software Engineer	January 2004- 2007
	Raytheon
Software Developer on various projects utilizing the J2EE framework working in
full life-cycle development including design, prototyping, proof of concept,
implementation, testing, and maintenance.  In addition, I currently hold a TS/SCI
CI poly clearance, became Six Sigma specialist. and was part of the team to
achieve CMMI level 3 for our State College site.
•	Developed software for data retrieval and intake this was implemented with JMS
and RMI which was then stored in an Oracle Database.
•	Created a messaging system for the project to enable the team to be able to
communicate more efficiently which increased productivity.
•	Part of a risk reduction team that developed software for a remote location to
access our system using XML which would in turn give them the requested data via
https.
•	Produced a Java Swing interface that connects to a Servlet and accesses an EJB
to retrieve results from an Oracle Database, the results are then put into an XML
file and returned.
•	In charge of designing and creating a successful multilingual system that uses
Word Net, IBM Translator, and Systran.  The multilingual system is a web based
system that was built using JSP’s, Servlets, EJB’s, and an Oracle Database.
•	Created an automated testing tool using C# to enable testers to generate
scripts that would run nightly in order to find defects in the nightly builds.
•	Designed and developed a tool in the .NET framework to dynamically read the
registry and find all available COM objects and their properties based upon the
installed software in the current machine.
•	Composed SQL stored procedures to improve performance access and manipulation
within the database.
•	Evaluated current code for possible performance improvements and implemented a
more proficient technique to ensure an enhanced overall system reliability and
performance.

	IBM
Software Developer working on the Open Grid Services Architecture as the
Deployment, Configuration, and Management team.
•	Created multiple JSP’s and Servlets to allow the user to define the
installation process through a web interface.

software across a distributed network.

	Sweet Annie Herbs
•	Provided object-oriented design, programming and implementation support to the
customer billing system, written in C++.
