ESP QC - Centralized Testing Team for all Employer Sponsored Products.
	
ESP QC is a centralized QA group to Test all the Employer Sponsored Products. 
This team is heavily involved in System Test the applications developed by the AD
team before the products are sent to the User Acceptance Test.  The team had a
goal to keep the DRE (Defect removal efficiency) count as high as possible and
ensure that the products are thoroughly manual tested, defects are logged,
tracked and reported to the management periodically using Mercury Quality
Center.

Responsible for:
•	Supported QC expansion into Life Insurance Product applications by proactively
coordinating training for myself and the new consultant team. Championed change
into the Life team by introducing QC processes and reinforcing important SPS
concepts into the team.
•	Created a System Appreciation Document to document all functionality of the
entire Plan Master System which was later used to train new team members.
•	Lead Tester for Life GLIF Plan Master - a system developed with Sybase as
backend and PowerBuilder 9.0 as front-end. My responsibilities include Supporting
Project Management activities, Test Planning, Test Case Development, Test
Scripting, Test Data preparation, Test Execution, Defect Tracking, Reporting,
Results validation and relationship management with Plan Master Development Team.
 
•	Used Mercury Quality Center to write Test Cases, Execute Test Cases, Defect

•	During my engagement with QC team, I have been a very strong team player,
extremely effective at Time Management, enthusiastic and a quick learner of all

FEGLI (Federal Employees Group Life Insurance)

Federal Employees Group Life Insurance shortly called as FEGLI is a Claims
Processing System.  It's exclusively developed for and used by the Federal
Government of United States of America.
FEGLI application is developed using PowerBuilder™ as the GUI front end and
Sybase™ as the Backend FEGLI uses COGNOS Impromptu report writer, Sybase Stored
Procedure and PERL scripts for all its report generation.

Responsible for:
•	Application Developers for the FEGLI team. Involved in 5 major releases of the
application. Each release consists of Requirement Analysis, Coding, Unit Testing,
Integration Testing (Systest) and UAT (User acceptance Test) and Production
implementation.
•	Worked extensively on the new enhancements and maintenance of the FEGLI
systems.
•	Interacted directly with Business users to gathering requirements and
documented them as Functional and Technical requirements.  
•	Worked extensively in the creation of Stored Procedures in Sybase™ coded and
executed complex SQL statements for creation of the reports related to the
application.
•	As part of new Development and Maintenance, I have written many new Stored
Procedures in Sybase and also created several PowerBuilder Objects.  I have
extensively used SQL queries both for creating the reports as well as for the
development and testing work.
•	FEGLI uses Star Team for version control.  I was responsible for the checkout

ATLAS - Correspondence -Calligo™				
ATLAS - Advanced Total Life Administration System is an application used for
Enrollment and Recording Keeping for all the Group Life Institutional Business
Products. ATLAS is developed using COBOL Ingenium and DB2 database with Web based
interface as Front-End. ATLAS using Calligo for all its automatic correspondence
generation.
Responsible for:
	Supported the ATLAS (Advanced Total Life Application System) application in
2001.
•	Provided a key support in formatting correspondence documents for the upcoming
ATLAS releases. This involved establishing and supporting a business and working
relationship with the Disability team. During this period, I was exposed to the
Calligo™ product and the Document Management Tool developed by Insystems™,
Canada.
•	Attended training courses offered by Insystems™, Advanced Calligo™
Administrator to enable me in my day to day responsibilities.
•	The Calligo™ tool is used to print all correspondence letters by running a
scheduled batch job every day. The generated documents are stored in a repository
called Document Management System (DMS).
•	Customized code to support integration between ATLAS and Calligo™.
•	Self trained myself in Java and used the knowledge to support running the
programs that were used to invoke Calligo™ jobs.

•	Was a team member as a PowerBuilder™ developer. I was a key contributor for
two releases of StarTrak in 2001.Responsibilites included coding, system testing
and migration of the Application to the latest versions of PowerBuilder™ and
Sybase™.
•	Provided on-call support for both GLIF (Group Life), Plan Master and SOH
during my initial transition.
•	Was responsible for addressing production support issues and concerns.
•	Played an important role in the analysis phases of the SOH application
redesign. Also provided detailed work and cost estimates.

Software Consultant
Fluor's® Material Manager system is a flexible system for every type of project,
small or large with all the material management capabilities for construction
execution.
Powerbuilder ,Oracle, Sybase™ and SQL Anywhere databases.
•	Material Manager organized project material management work processes into
logical modules namely Material Requirements, Purchasing, Expediting, Logistics,
Material Planning, Warehousing, Supplier Manager and Supplier Quality
Surveillance that can be customized to suit project’s requirements. 
•	Involved in the design and complete development of ‘Bid Maintenance’ and ‘Bid
Evaluation’ in purchasing module. Bid Maintenance includes listing of all the
issued RFQs, allowing the user to select the bidders to whom the bid should be
added. It gives the user an option to enter the required bid details in two
different formats in which they are comfortable with. Apart from providing way to
add/modify and delete bid details it also allows to maintain cost item details
and bidder notes. Bid Evaluation is a wonderful facility available, which does
the automatic evaluation of bids on two different bases namely ‘By Minimum Price’
or ‘By Lead Time’. 

•	Involved in the design and development of Import/Export of data across 2
different databases Oracle and SQL Anywhere Runtime using SQL Anywhere Server as
an intermediate transfer database in Supplier Quality Surveillance module. The
process involved transfer of assignments / Reports by the Project Surveillance
Coordinator in the home office to all / selected field inspectors present all
over the world who use laptops. The intermediate transfer database was emailed to
the surveyor’s laptop as a DB file to the target database using an executable
created using Visual Basic Programming. PowerBuilder's Data pipeline technique
was used extensively to achieve this task where more than 35 tables were involved
in the process.

•	Involved in the design and development of almost 15 Reports in expediting
module. Expediting involves tracking Purchase Order deliverables in two different
ways namely Document Tracking and Material Tracking. Some of the major reports
worked on Expediting are Audit Trail, Calendar Change Alert, Duration Change
Alert, Material Receiving Report (MRR) Auto Update Alert, and New RFQ Alert. The
other comparison reports like PO Award greater than RAS Alert, PO Current greater
than Scheduled Alert were also developed. 

•	Apart from playing a major role in development, maintenance was also taken
care for various modules. Major modules worked on during maintenance are
Purchasing, Expediting, Material Requirements, Supplier Quality Surveillance and
Administration. Used PFC, PowerBuilder™ Foundation Class Library during
development of all the modules worked.

 
PowerCerv®, Anderson, SC, USA				        Apr 1997 - Apr 1998

Developer, R&D - Distribution
PowerCerv® was a leading software company which provided a complete ERP suite
with excellent features of Client / Server Architecture.  The Customer Life Cycle
Product consists of Manufacturing, Distribution, Financial, Customer Asset
Management (CAM) and Sales Force Automation (SFA).
