As an experienced Chemist/Laboratory technician, I am seeking a challenging
position as a Chemist/Laboratory technician position that would enable me to
apply my education and 15+ years of laboratory work experience while learning new
skills in order to meet my emplloyer's and employer's customers satisfaction.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

BAKER HUGHES INC. - Sugar Land, Texas 2001- 2009
Analytical Support Services: Chemist Experienced in the identification of
unknown deposit samples from a variety of oilfield and refinery locations using
multiple techniques including X-ray diffraction spectrometry, X-ray fluorescence
spectrometry, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometry, Carbon, Hydrogen and
Nitrogen Analyzer. Compiled and interpreted results and created a final report
about each deposit sample for customers, R&D, and sales. Logged in samples when
received and distributed them to the appropriate analysts. Performed various
physical property testing, gravimetric analysis, ensured supplies were available
by performing inventory checks and placing orders with approved vendors.

BAKER PETROLITE CORP. - Sugar Land, Texas 1999- 2001
Finished Fuels Additives: Chemist- Worked in a team environment on a variety of
product development and bid proposals in the area of finished fuel additives.
Worked individually on technical service projects in support of refinery, process
and corrosion applications. Interfaced directly with Sales, Marketing, Analytical
and Manufacturing to provide technical solutions to customer problems. Other
duties include Conducted training seminar on fuel additives and onsite technical
support specifically cold flow additives at BP Whiting, Hydrogen Sulfide
abatement in asphalt at Chalmette, LA. 

BAKER PETROLITE CORP. - Pasadena, Texas 1992- 1999
Bayport Manufacturing Facility: Sample Shipping Coordinator/ Quality Control
Technician- Developed and managed a system for the procurement and shipment of
chemical samples to external customers, sales and technology. Assisting QC
secretary in releasing trucks and providing C of A. Assisting QC analysts as
needed. Performed quality control testing on intermediate and finished products
before releasing C of A. Provided solutions to manufacturing to bring off spec
products into compliance. Conducted internal audit of analytical methods to
ensure instructions were available and complete.

APR LABORATORIES - Dickinson, Texas 1990- 1992
Laboratory Technician: Performed various analyses on samples via Atomic
Absorption Spectroscopy, Infrared Spectroscopy, Gas Chromatograph and various wet
methods per EPA and TWC standards
