MAXIM INTEGRATED PRODUCTS – DALLAS, TX - 2005 TO 2009
SOFTWARE ENGINEER / ENGINEERING SPECIALIST
Recruited and given complete accountability for the full life cycle design of
Electronic Maintenance Operating System, e-MOS and associated infrastructure to
automate and integrate the creation and reporting of key data for the Equipment
Maintenance Group. Partnered with Software Architect Consultant to deploy new
software framework; recruited 2 offshore Developers and external Intern; and led
the design, development, testing, documentation, deployment and 24/7 support of
e-MOS leveraging Java, JavaBeans, Hibernate, JSP, Servlets, Applets, AJAX and
various other web-based technologies across Oracle Database utilizing Relax AFP.
Collaborated with engineering team and management to define requirements and
develop use cases for the creation of multiple subsystems and interfaces to
existing systems. Analyzed and resolved all issues.
SELECTED PROJECTS & ACHIEVEMENTS:
- Architected, designed, developed and delivered a full workflow system,
strengthening preventative maintenance operations and enabling the achievement of
regulatory compliance. Defined security framework; led the integration of all
subsystems; developed interfaces to external systems; and led the WLAN deployment
to enable secure wireless access of data.
- Created and integrated Administration / Configuration Tools to enable the
management and configuration of all aspects of subsystems within e-MOS.

and revision control, document generation by templates, and document form data

scheduling of preventative maintenance based on date, usage, rate, series,
recurring, sequential, and automated rescheduling of rate.
- Created and rolled out the Integrated Automation system, comprised of complex
algorithms and code allowing for the modeling of automation systems within
various semiconductor equipment; handling a variety of data extraction/collection
methods from multiple types of data sources; implemented GUI interfaces used for

maintenance events based on associative patterns between equipment subsystems and

STMICROELECTRONICS – CARROLLTON, TX - 1995 TO 2005
Dedicated 10-year career designing, implementing and supporting key systems,
tools, analytics and processes to enhance operations of the Equipment Engineering
Department.
SOFTWARE ENGINEER / ENGINEER (2003 TO 2005)
Primary interface between IT Group and Equipment Engineering Department to
identify needs and implement effective solutions to improve equipment performance
and quality control, reduce failures, increase mean-time between failures, and
enable the appropriate reporting of preventative maintenance data. 
Accountable for overall success of development, implementation, data analysis
and reporting projects, from initial definition of requirements through business
and cost benefit analysis, delivery, documentation and problem resolution.
Developed and implemented enhancements into custom Forecasting & Planning System
and new corporate TPMCenter System leveraging Java, JavaBeans, JSP, Servlets,
Applets, Struts, AJAX and various other web-based technologies across Oracle
Database. Delivered training to users on new systems and procedures. Provided and
presented real-time preventative maintenance analytics at daily Facility
Director’s meeting.
SELECTED PROJECTS & ACHIEVEMENTS:
- Project managed all efforts to beta test and deploy TPMCenter, Equipment
Maintenance Management software within the site, enabling the elimination of
paper maintenance documentation, standardizing data analysis tools across
multiple sites and delivering a collaboration tool between sites. Provided
on-going support to key system. Documented and reported issues and defects to
corporate development team.
- Designed and implemented numerous enhancements, and developed and integrated
custom modules into TPMCenter to meet site’s equipment maintenance and
manufacturing group’s needs.
- Defined, planned and led the deployment of Cisco WLAN infrastructure and
laptops, enabling users to access and input secure check-sheet form data in
real-time from any location.

PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT MANAGER (2000 TO 2003)
Selected into newly established role to oversee efforts of integrated
preventative maintenance team supporting all equipment on site. Established
dedicated Team Supervisor roles; introduced standards and best practices; and
designed and implemented tools and systems to capture key performance metrics and
improve performance of department. Held complete accountability for a team of
approximately 60 direct reports.
SELECTED PROJECTS & ACHIEVEMENTS:
- Established performance metrics and systems to track performance and issues
for reporting at daily Plant Director’s meeting. Developed Visual Basic, VBA and
MS Excel tools to automate the retrieval of key data from multiple systems for
enhanced decision-making.
- Successfully expanded performance tools into an end-to-end Forecasting and
Planning System to forecast frequency of equipment maintenance and provide a
means to accurately schedule personnel, resulting in a 20% reduction in overtime
and delivering a $450K annual cost savings. Created ETLs and GUI interfaces to
enable multiple teams to access, analyze and report on data.
- Redesigned preventative maintenance procedures for more than 20 equipment
sets, reducing equipment preventative maintenance downtime by up to 15%.
- Designed interface to integrate Equipment Maintenance Group’s document control
module into Forecasting and Planning System utilizing ASP and web technologies to
replace manual preventative maintenance check-sheet production process.
- Managed efforts to convert more than 500 equipment preventative maintenance
check-sheets in various formats to a standard web-based format, providing instant
access to data for audits and analysis.
 
NIGHT SHIFT EQUIPMENT MANAGER (1999 TO 2000)
Advanced to enhance communication between 40 resources across 5 groups in 2
shifts, and strengthen equipment repair, maintenance and engineering operations.
Managed team in effectively engineering, repairing and supporting semiconductor
equipment during night shift operations. Collaborated with leadership and

- Designed and implemented a Parts Catalog and Tracking System utilizing MS
Access to enable the identification and tracking of parts and tools for the
department. System was subsequently adopted as a means to track frequency of
usage and failure of parts, enabling the successful scheduling of effective
preventative maintenance timelines and overall improving time-to-recovery. 
- Managed efforts of multiple team members in the classification of more than
8,000 parts for new parts Catalog and Tracking system.

1999)
Originally recruited as Equipment Technician and promoted as Shift Lead within 4
years to oversee team of 8 in repairing and maintaining Equipment Engineering
